I think trying to put shipwrights up there is a bad idea because the Almighty is still occupied by Cabal -too dangerous to bring in shipwrights and technicians- and the problem is obviously more severe than a simple destroyed control panel. The topic of who the next Titan Vanguard would be is worth discussing, though.
Sloane is currently the most likely candidate for Commander/Titan Vanguard, because of her position as Deputy Commander and protégé to Zavala.
Saint-14 isn’t a very likely candidate because he doesn’t feel that the Vanguard is where he belongs. Remember that he was the first Titan Vanguard and Commander, but he literally gave up the position in less than a day.
Shaxx is the least likely candidate because he has committed himself to never leave the Crucible until he is certain that it is no longer needed.
There are few other candidates we know of (as Shaxx said, all the good Titans are dead). The only other I can recall who might not be dead is that Titan who is best friends with the Hunter Marcus Ren.

All good points. Also one more thing to add about Shaxx. While i think Shaxx would handle military side of being the Titan Vanguard amazingly, i can't imagine he'd handle the political side well at all. I think that's why Shaxx doesn't want the job and why Zavala got it in the first place

Shaxx doesn’t want the job because he feels he can do more good in the Crucible. If the time ever came where the Crucible wasn’t needed, he’d likely return to active combat rather than take up a Vanguard position.
-
And i think a big reason of why Shaxx feels like he'd do more good outside of a Vanguard position is because he'd have to deal with the bureaucracy and political side of being the Titan Vanguard.

Valid points. I think Sloane is vastly underrated for sure. As far as the Almighty being occupied, if Zavala and Ana can fight their way to the bridge in a 2 person fireteam a group of Guardians should be able to take and maintain control while the shiprwrights work. Maintenance is the most likely solution. If the propulsion system is still working then fixing the controls is the best option still, imo. Worst case is the Almighty has to be destroyed, and even then a demolition team working inside is the best possibility.

Good point. Anyway, my vote is that we steal some heavy-metal Cabal explosives and nuke the Almighty, Shield Brother style. That’s the fun option.

My vote is to assemble every Warlock side by side for a wall of Nova Bombs.
