Fire Zavala, promote Shaxx or Saint
The thing that's bothering me most about this season's story is a very blatant and massive plothole that can only be explained by leadership incompetence. Asher was right, Zavala is an idiot. The fact that we have a whole city of engineers and our Vanguard Shipwright, Amanda Holliday, aren't on the Almighty fixing the controls right now irritates me to no end. Simple solutions for simple problems.

Simpler, strap a nuke to a few thousand of our best ships, remotely fly them in. If even one makes it anywhere close, boom. Trajectory irreversibly changed.

8 AntwortenSaint would never go back to the Vanguard. He quit the first time after just a day (if even that long), and he's busy taking up Trials anyways. Shaxx is incredibly unlikely to give up on the Crucible just to take care of strikes. He'd rather be in the action himself knowing him. Sloane is the most likely candidate to take after Zavala since she seems less reclusive but is still (presumably) a capable commander in her own right. In fact, that would actually be a nice twist to end the season even if the rest of it still ends up mediocre; beats having to fight bug pirates and zombies on Titan all the time. [spoiler]Also, anyone else notice that Drifter is the [i]only[/i] playlist vendor that isn't a Titan?[/spoiler]

I don’t think we have enough knowledge on cabal tech. After you complete the heroic injection rig public event on mars, Ana talks about trying to reverse engineer the leftover tech from the rig, but is unable to because we destroyed it.

We have to return each day to remove the random fallen that wander in during the night. ....or rasputin could close the -blam!-ing door in between our visits. 🤷♂️

3 AntwortenCabal tech is not our tech. Cabal also reinforces continuously what is theirs. The solution for the situation isn't getting on the almighty, but changing trajectories or destroying it outright. Clearly the game will later say something to the effect, "ideas poured onto the commander zavala desk with all failing when tried." You need to remember too that when Bungie gives us a path to follow? It's because of the next season. We'll see what the logic is.

6 AntwortenI think trying to put shipwrights up there is a bad idea because the Almighty is still occupied by Cabal -too dangerous to bring in shipwrights and technicians- and the problem is obviously more severe than a simple destroyed control panel. The topic of who the next Titan Vanguard would be is worth discussing, though. Sloane is currently the most likely candidate for Commander/Titan Vanguard, because of her position as Deputy Commander and protégé to Zavala. Saint-14 isn’t a very likely candidate because he doesn’t feel that the Vanguard is where he belongs. Remember that he was the first Titan Vanguard and Commander, but he literally gave up the position in less than a day. Shaxx is the least likely candidate because he has committed himself to never leave the Crucible until he is certain that it is no longer needed. There are few other candidates we know of (as Shaxx said, all the good Titans are dead). The only other I can recall who might not be dead is that Titan who is best friends with the Hunter Marcus Ren.
