Today, Update 2.7.1 introduced an issue that affected currencies and pursuits. We immediately brought the game offline to mitigate any loss of materials while we investigated. We have identified the issue and the good news is that we were able to deploy an update to the server and will not have to update the game client.
We have rolled all character data back to our most recent backup at 8:30 a.m. Pacific before the issue was introduced. This will restore any lost materials caused by the issue, but players will lose any progress they made if they played between 8:30 a.m and 10:20 a.m. when we brought the game down for maintenance. Any purchases made using Silver or Bright Dust during this window will need to be repurchased. Any Silver spent or purchased will be restored.
The server update is complete and we are beginning to bring the game back online now. Stay tuned to @Bungiehelp for updates.

Thankyou and the team Cozmo, you are doing a mighty fine effort!!!

Why would you not take a snap shot after bringing the game offline for maintenance so people haven’t lost over an hour and a half of progress!?

The bugs with every update are getting worse and worse. It's pretty embarrassing that you can't put out anything without breaking something else at this point.

Great job guys... I mean, you seem to think time and data seems to grow on trees and that the little bit of progress we make is worthless, especially when you do crap like this. How about instead of screwing over thousands of people, you isolate the problem, or at the very least give a warning before your player base gets on and wastes their time only for you guys to piss on it. My friend had finally got sweet business, oh wait sorry, bungie Devs decided to roll back so screw him, it's now gone. Better luck next time right? I mean he only wasted nearly a gig of bought data, that he got so he could play the game with me mind you, and I don't believe you'll refund him for that. I never had this kind of crap from Warframe. Maybe they means their Devs actually think before they do. This kind of poor service is enough to make me reconsider purchasing any expansions for this game. Progress means nothing. Time means nothing. Data means nothing. There's no care or understanding for the players and what they lost.

It's not broken....it's a new feature! And if it IS broken, it is remnants of Activision. You guys and your test plans, or lack thereof, kill me. It is good for you that there is no accountability in your industry (gaming), just repetitive excuses and mistakes.

All you did was roll back the date and reboot the computer what kind of fix was that that’s something people do at home with their home computer you did not actually fix the core problem of what caused this in the first place restore my saint 14 emblem. I earned this at the last minute before reset I equipped it to my hunter and now a different emblem is equipped to my hunter, not fixed!!

YOU HAD ONE JOB
-
updating destiny froze on my console.... had to reboot the console and the whole D2 file had been deleted! cheers. got to spend a few more hours reinstalling now, awesome stuff!
-
My "The Pigeon and the Phoenix" is now missing, though I finished it a week ago, not before reset. Is it going to be addressed and fixed?
-
Hey all 19 of my saint-14 corridors of time lore entries are entirely gone... would you mind fixing that please?
-
Bruh, u lot cry too much, its fixed get over it. Babies
-
Imagine getting ghorn in vanilla d1 then this happens
-
Bungie this is beyond excusable i've been at here since the begining beta and this is the first time you've truly pissed me off i spent yesterday morning it the corridors gaining the lore and emblem before the 8:30 a.m maint time and to now which my lore is gone but i still have my emblem so i'm going to say this restore the lore i earned yesterday before your massive mistake or have me mad at you for the rest of this season
-
Great. I got a Prospector as a drop in my first Nightfall yesterday, now it's gone. Thanks for your incompetence Bungie!

When you test in production....

Had to rollback time to close the Corridors of Time. The cycle is complete.
