I think we need a constant character custom maker not just at the start. Simply I'm tired of looking at my guardians hair and face that I poorly made and I know some of you thought your was good looking too until it ported over to D2. Bungie can even make a new character that's a beauty shop in the tower or just use one of the random tower people.
