"Ancient Semi-Famous Veteran Contemplating Return After 2 Years"

Yes. Return and give it a shot.

NO! You actually got out for real? Stay gone!!

So, I've been gone over 2 years. I played all of D1 getting every single piece of content in the game, including No.1 ranked player in my home-state of Wisconsin, and defeating Loriipops in New Zealand for the ultra-rare Bungie Emblem. I was top of my class (still No.1 in Wisconsin with a competitive KD of 4.4) but ultimately quit "permanently" in November of 2017. I only "brag" because when I left, if you didn't pack a super duper resume your post got ignored. My question is this : Now that the game is 100% "free to play", has the MTX on Eververse gotten worse? Has Bungie made a more-poor game since Activision left? Have I been permanently barred/banned from content in the game for taking time off? For example, the season tab up there has clear "days" set for it and I very-much-so missed the Season of Undying. I want to come back casually for the "story" and "lore-unlocks" but the forums seem to be in even worse condition than when I left. This is not a fake post either. I've seriously been gone for 2 years, and I seriously want the public to let me know if I should "stay out". It took me a very very long time to quit "for real". They always say "you'll be back", and I did that about 100x, but this last time I really really really got out for good. I'm tempted by nostalgia; should I do it or return to Death Stranding and The Outer Worlds? ~Ess~
