Hacking and cheating has been rampant sense destiny 1, this is nothing new. I agree cheating needs to be stopped, but your argument is....flawed.
First:
Though those who've been hardware banned could possibly find a way to get around the it, it's mostly unlikely (unless they're really good a hacking and I do stress this), and I know for a fact that most won't buy brand new PC just to play D2.
Second:
Whether they turn off the aimbot or not, bungie's anti-cheats software can still detect it. There was a guy on the forums weeks ago, got banned for having a cheats for Dark Souls 3 (yes this happened. Yes you can get banned for having cheats/hacks for different games).
Third:
Bungie take bans very seriously and personally review/monitor the offenders if they are truly cheating. They don't just ban instantly. It takes time. More importantly, they're trying to fix the game in order to make it function properly. They can't just divert all their attention to monitoring PvP.
Finally:
Banning all new light players from comp (and eventually Trials) doesn't solve the issue. Not all new light players are cheaters. Most due play the honestly and commend those who do. It the minority of NLP's doing this. Also, There are plenty of D2 Vets who are cheating out there in PvP, even as we speak.
That's what I got to say about this. Your last point in your argument was interesting, so I give you props for it.

Bearbeitet von Rain: 12/23/2019 1:28:42 PMStopping new light players from entering comp and trials will stop a lot of the hackers. No one wants to risk re buying the game. Hackers were not running rampant until ftp was introduced.
-
So what you're saying is ban ALL NLPs from the comp playlist, even though most are playing the game honestly. Granted, cheating flared up when it became ftp, but banning all of them from the comp playlist doesn't solve anything. It's only going to makes things worse in the long run.

Tbf I agree it sucks for the ones that dont cheat but dedicated servers are not happening. Comp and trials would be considered end game activities for pvp and sorry but the paying customers should not have to endure the cheaters that flooded in with ftp.

Bearbeitet von Primordial_Nexus: 12/23/2019 10:03:46 PMAs said before, it solve nothing by barring NLPs from endgame PvP because a few New Lights are cheating. Also, do honestly think it's just NLPs cheating? There are plenty of D2 Vets, who in fact, are cheating in the game, not just NLPs. Furthermore, do you have any idea how much dedicated servers cost for the entire player base, not much man power it would take to maintain it. Yes I would love to have dedicated servers, but bungie doesn't have the resources to do those yet. It not like their rolling in money right now.

Network manipulation has always been a thing since d1 (might want to inspect my profile I'm well aware since y1 d1). Hard core cheating with aimbot, teleporting and and unlimited lives has flooded in with ftp which was never around until (shocker) free to play. Any comp over 3k is pretty much every other game now with someone blatantly hacking and it's a huge problem now. Ftp should be able to access quickplay, rumble etc. But a paywall should be in place for comp and trials I guarantee the hacking will be cut more than 3/4. No ones going to buy the game over and over even if they are recovering accounts.
-
One, never said you weren't a Veteran (I do in fact check profiles). Two, aimbot (you also forgot to mention full-auto pulse rifle hacks) were around before ftp.
-
My apologies it came out wrong. Apex xim was around but aimbot maybe 1/10 compared to now tho.
-
You worries bro. Just pointing it out because I thought you got some of the information mixed up. I will agree teleporting and instant rez came after ftp, but it's was most likely in the works before, then perfected during ftp.
-
Funny you say my argument is flawed 😂 You dont need a brand new pc to circumvent a hardware ID ban. There are free softwares out there that fake your HWID and you can keep playing. You make it look like we get less content when the support team monitors the people cheating in this game properly. That is not the case since devs arent wasting their time on reading complaints. Those are entirely different teams that have nothing to do with one another.
-
As I stated, I did in fact say, they could possibly find way around the hardware ban if they were really good at hacking. Yes, most of your points are flawed, you are literally asking to ban all NLPs from endgame PvP because a few are cheating.

Cheating brings money too (carries ecc) Enough to buy new accounts and cheat with them Bungie should ban cheaters and people teaming with them Put a big disclaimer on somewhere "if you play with someone cheating, you will get suspended too, 3rd time is perma ban" If you team up with someone and you understand he is cheating during the match, you can report the player and leave the fireteam after the match to avoid each kind of suspension
-
Anyone who provides carries for financial profit and those that pay to be carried should be banned outright, whether it'd pvp or pve.
-
I agree with this actually. Carries, as they are by definition, are a way to bypass intended progression and process in the game itself. Sad thing is that it's very obviously being done for profit. You can sign into Twitch and load up the Destiny 2 corner to see it. "Carries for Donations! "Free Carries! Just use command HELP"! (Using the command promptly states only subs/donators can ask for it) etc.

I highly doubt bungie takes banning very seriously since i have run into the same cheater over and over usually ever 4-5 crucible matches for the last 8 months. and have repeatedly reported him.....the only time they will take it seriously I find in my own opinion is if they can surely see he's cheating (exploiting the map to gain advantage over everyone through clipmode or straight up obvious aimbotting by viewing a stream). Now between the 2 games I play and as a fairly new light player to the destiny game but more of a Vet in diablo 3 I can say Cheating over the last few weeks have rised increasingly a lot more then I've seen since first starting between the 2 and lets be very honest....its discouraging to new players to know no matter what, they will be bested by a cheater/botter.
-
Baelion: "i have run into the same cheater over and over usually ever 4-5 crucible matches for the last 8 months." Also Baelion: "... as a fairly new light player to the destiny game..." Really, dude?
-
yes really, im a new light player, over a period of 8 months i didnt log in everyday or every 2nd day to play. i would log in for 2-3 hours every 3-4 weeks, i have expanded as far as crucible 1 to 2 nightfalls maybe, no raids nor any Fireteam Co-op dungeons(no matchmaking). Thats a new light......only have i gotten into more depth into destiny 2 with Season of the Dawn and i tell ya bots are horrendous......so horrendous i have ran into bot players, the same players, same clans in diablo 3......coincidence maybe but opposing team is 4/4 same players same clan in diablo 3 who bot their ways to the top of the LB's....common who you trying to fool here.

Bearbeitet von DampishMids: 12/23/2019 10:06:48 AMWell when they say "renewed PvP focus" literally. They kinda owe it to the players to make sure its proper. What have they been focusing on? Nothing? That changed a few maps around, they they took other maps from us for? ( dont care about the maps its the fact that content is pulled) and made elimination permanent? And like 5 measely balancing changes? Thats a lot to write for me to just say they dont care about banning players. They never have. Also you clearly dont understand the magnitude of the cheating if you compared it to d1. D1 cheating isnt 1/ 1,000th of what is happening in d2. Bungie took cheating much more seriously in d1 as well. Theyd blast people they banned. Theyd make examples of them. It was because trials was a thing. Now they dont take PvP seriously what so ever. Theres no renewed focus. Theres no respect. Therefore they dont get mine.
