If each season we get a new mod slot to the armour that can’t be used on older seasons’ armour (that we just spent a whole season grinding for) then what was the point of the grind? What is the point of the enhancement / ascendent masterwork system you’re spending materials on temporary armour?
The fact that’s it’s not an even exchange either, and you lose materials when you dismantle masterworked gear, makes even less sense — you’re being punished for making you gear have good rolls and then wanting to move to the next season.
I’m glad I never used cores or shards this season (only got my armour from the dungeon) and I’m not going to spend resources on this new gear that will be made redundant at the start of Feb 2020.
They’ve made armour 2.0 the equivalent of solstice armour that we grind for and throw away a week afterwards.
How are we meant to make ‘meaningful choices’ like an rpg when we keep tossing last season’s grind worth of loot away like a used printer cartridge.

It’s the way with all rpgs. New stuff comes out if you want use it you have e to get it. You can still use other mods and they’ll work well but if you want to new mods you need the new armor. It’s not rocket science.
