Personally do not see all the hate towards the game mode. Pretty fun in my eyes. Then again, I simply play it for the chance to bubble the other teams primeval..... and to help sniping practice for Crucible. And the fact the game can turn around at any time brings an intense feel to it. It's boring when if one team gets its primeval up first it's a definite win for them. No. I ain't into that.

You.... bubble The primeval? Madness

But it's also astounding how many people try to challenge me inside the bubble.. hell... you can melee a striker in their super with ease.

You and I should team up, you are clearly a god

Its the open world pvp. If you’re with a good team, it’s fun. But if you’re stuck with a bad team or one ignoring the objectives?? It’s torture.
-
It's the same thing in crucible and other PvE activities. People will ignore the objectives and wont capture zones, pick up crests, or wont do a raid encounter correctly, or they wont help in the strike, etc.
-
Yes. But you can still overcome them and play well or even win. Not in Gambit. All It takes is one idiot or one selfish player to wreck the whole team. But one good pvp player can determine the outcome of the entire match.
-
I disagree with the one player can win a pvp match. A lot of times there can be a really good player on the enemy team, but because no one caps the zones it's an easy win for us. Clash is a slight maybe but control? Only if the enemy team is equally as bad.
-
That’s because the objectives matter. In Gambit all the pve objectives decide is who has the advantages in the pvp encounters.
-
True. But aint that the case for a lot of modes on PvP oriented games? But true. Prime can get pretty annoying if people arent knowledgable of the mode.

That’s the problem in a nutshell. Gambit ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE A PVP GAME MODE. But it is. All the pve does is set the stage between rounds of pvp. Whoever wins the pvp wins the match. Which is why pve players lured to it with promises of competitive pve—-and pvp players who want balanced pvp——hate it.

Also whichever team gets most PvP kills,it doesn’t guarantee that team the win either. Gambit one of the better game modes for sure in D2.. Just a pity not everybody is on the same wavelength and work as a team in mm.
