*Literally everyone crying about a fusion rifle as if this is the worst thing ever even though fusions are never almost dominant in any point in Destiny's history*
Yeah... the crucible hasn't changed at all...

I did, but I also remember that the majority didn't like fusions because they were weird charge up guns. And didn't fusions get nerfed pretty heavily early on (a bit after the Pocket and Vex debacle)? Then good shotguns started to be pumped out... and then they reigned for a long time, (sometimes changing places with snipers in popularity). Just like how Autos skyrocketed because nobody really wanted to use hand cannons. Of course, after autos took the hit, they wouldn't recover until good max rof Doctrine of Passing like autos were introduced. But there was never a time when you saw fusions everywhere. They were never more used than shotguns or snipers. Were they good? Yeah, sometimes so and sometimes not. But were they 'dominant' in lobbies? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh When you had snipers like Predeth's Revenge, or the unnerfed VoG shotgun (way more range than it does now), you didn't need fusions by any means. Then you got the IB stuff when it came around... and snipers and shotguns exploded. I remember the first IB sniper with field scout (increased reserves and mag up to 6), with firefly, a close range sight, which is all on a heavy impact sniper so it could shutdown anything (and firefly scaled with damage dealt on hit). It was amazing. And obviously everyone remembers Felwinter's Lie. The lie being a sniper rifle disguised as a shotgun.

Fusions have too much range besides that they are ok, in the current sandbox a good erentil can out range most handcannons.
