I have already said something like this last week, but I will repeat this again;
You own the words that you say, write, type. Make sure that they are ones you are willing to pay a price for if they are crossing the line, even if "it was just a joke".
Words carry weight. It doesn't matter if you mean what you say or not, just don't say anything that you're not willing to be taken to task for.

Yeah, it's good looking out for troubled kids. The bad side, is that any internet we chose to use, and it has always been the case, there are about 10% users, 90% stalkers either trying to bust people, or worst. It's the risk we all take sharing on the web. I try to be mindful that the audiences that I'm trying to talk to is rarely who is actually reading. That doesn't mean I'm about to be a fake person, but understanding social media certainly changes how you use it. We don't have to be paranoid though, the other part of that is, humans are generally incredibly selfish and don't care about much but themselves or "important people" ie sycophantism. Just do you, have fun, vent, rage, etc. Good folks have nothing to worry about and nothing to prove.
