    Hi. Your comment is thoroughly unhelpful, as it does not address the question raised by the post nor does it provide any pertinent information not already stated. It is also worth noting that, this issue being the result of a bug rather than intentional or accidental deletion, it does not fall under the circumstances described in that policy.

  • But he answered your question and it’s true that Bungie’s policy doesn’t recover lost or deleted items. By the way this is a public form, so you’ll get people that will chime in to answer your not just Bungie. A lot of people on this form knows bungie’s policies and can tell you what policy is relevant to your situation and will even link to the policy for evidence. Don’t get upset with them if your not going to get the answer you want.

  • No, he did not answer the questions in the post. If literally any of you were capable of reading the post itself, you'd realise that I'm not interested in reiteration of the same policies. I want knowledge of this issue to reach Bungie, and a subsequent explanation of this issue from Bungie. Otherwise, there is a risk it will occur again, which I would rather not take.

  • Look at the selected answer, these mentors are the only people that are close to talking to Bungie that you’ll get. You’ll never get any of the main people in Bungie to respond in this form.

I have personally interacted with them before, albeit that involved correcting a false claim one staff member was making. (If you're curious, it was that the Annual Pass did not include 1000 Silver, despite being clearly advertised as such.) Presumably Mentors are capable of escalating posts for further attention, or at least that would be a sensible procedure to have in place. I'm sure Bungie are very busy, but they're not incapable. (Though granted, the ability to actually contact customer support directly would be more convenient than abdicating such responsibility to the forums. There are some issues suited to forums, and there are others that are better suited to direct interaction.)

  • I’ve seen some responses to your post that support your claim. I recommend that you record what happens and see if you can replicate it. Your post is making a claim with no evidence to support it and a lot of time, people that make these kind of posts turns out that they were wrong or tried to get an item they deleted restored.

TBH it will probably just be a note on a report somewhere as it is not a widely occurring issue and there is not a video clip of it happening.

  • Bungie almost certainly tracks actions taken on an account, both direct player action and 'server' actions. I am assuming, based on the fact that they do gather and store data on player behaviour (which is how they can make statements such as "[x] hours were spent dismantling shaders" etc.), that someone is capable of checking it and seeing what happened on their end. If they know what happened on their end, they can (hopefully) see what went wrong, and both prevent the issue reoccurring and give more specific advice on avoiding it in the meantime. Worst case scenario, their data shows no clear reason for an issue to occur and nothing changes. I mean, given that they must have [i]some[/i] information that could be relayed, a lack of explanation would be more deliberate than because no relevant information exists. Which would seem weird, since what reason would there be for not trying to be helpful?
