OAFL: Arena Brainstorm post
Instead of coming up with potentially boring Arena ideas myself, I decided that the combatants should come up with arenas themselves. Just give me the general setting for an Arena then a few thing you would want to see or would find cool to add to said Arena.

Arena Name: The Irradiated Forest Arena Description: The forest was near the Chernobyl accident. When it exploded the whole area got wiped out and when it started to regrow, the trees came out corrupted and warped into needle like and spiny branches they can hurt when touched. The animals that love there are much more aggressive now due to the radiation affected them. Special Events: Animals from the area will sometimes come and attack the fighters or mutants come out of the surrounding areas and fight them.

Toaster you would make up the factions and say what they stand for, then people would sign up for which faction they want to be pledged with. Then when you want the first fight to take place the members of the faction will talk with each other and figure out who their representative is. then when the two factions fight each other have chosen their representative, the masses vote on who wins or the two representatives will duel it (This part works like OG Arena.) the loser is now dead and can not go on and loses a point for his/her faction each faction has the same amount of points as each faction. The winner of faction wars is determined on the last standing Faction (The faction that still has points). [spoiler]hope fully that makes sense[/spoiler]

The Sacred Grounds An Eclipse ruin. There are portals that lead across the multiverse and objects phasing in and out of reality. There is a massive statue featuring a symbol of an eclipse. Sometimes cultists wander in on a pilgrimage and will attack.

1 Antworten[b]Chopped[/b] You spawn in as a tiny person in a huge kitchen to fight to the death. All the while chefs are cooking. This could give some very interesting special events and some cool surroundings to work with, I.E: sink, spice shelf, knives and etc

Reversion. A place like a coliseum, but there are portals strewn about. If you want into one, you go the the upside down version of the planet. The upside down version will be surreal, filled with never ending corridors, places where gravity has no affect, and dangerous creatures lurk It will be a good place for speedy, yet interesting fights

A destroyed planet. There is still atmosphere because the dense core is still intact, providing gravitational pull. Within this bubble of atmosphere are floating asteroid pieces of the planet that can be jumped between. Each asteroid has its own gravity depending on its mass, mixed with the gravitational pull toward the center. So if you jump toward the middle, you can traverse great distances, jumping away from the middle you travel less distance. Asteroids may still have vegetation or buildings on them from when the planet was intact. It might be a good arena for fighters that have wings, jet packs, and other means of flight. (Wings would still work because of the atmosphere, but flying away from the center would be much more tiring than flying toward the center). This is not IRL scientifically viable, it’s based off of “comic book physics” for entertainment value.

Some worldly, some otherworldly. E.g. Some normal ones like an ancient coliseum, along with some other stranger ones, maybe a valley with trees and strange architecture, dead silent.

A crystal world. A huge map layed out like a valley but made purely of crystal gemstones. Even the river running through the middle is a crystalline liquid that, should a combatant fall in, will turn them into a crystal structure that will lay in the river for eternity

The Pyre is an arena that takes place in a war torn field with a unlit pyre in the middle. Rivals are sent to this arena unarmed and spell binded (to prevent mage users from having a start advantage). They can scavenge the remains for weapons and souls as they fight (Weapons can be anything from dark souls or the their own weapons,enemies can pick up the others weapon if found). If they collect enough souls, the pyre will light causing a random Dark soul related event to happen.

[b]THE SPHERE[/b] So, The Sphere is pretty big, about the size of a large house. The entire sphere is zero gravity, but the fighters have magnetic fittings on their feet, which allow them to stay on the ground and run up walls. There are multiple platforms suspended in the air. The bigger ones are stable and do not move, the medium sized ones spin, and the smaller ones can be pushed and manipulated. Also, there is a lazer that randomly fires from any surface of the sphere, except for platforms.

1 AntwortenTormented Coliseum: The Coliseum has been transported into a different plain, pieces of the Coliseum float zero gravity but fighters will need to watch their steps as they can fall down!

Bearbeitet von FastmanLeFast: 8/1/2019 6:02:07 PMI remember suggesting an arena a year or so ago but it didn’t make it so I’ll see if I can find it and adjust it and repost it here I suppose Edit: can’t find so I recreated it from memory Arena Name: Poison A very grey and somber city, it stands half destroyed with cars scattered across the main street where you stand. The buildings lining the street have been looted and vandalised, a nearby park has been repurposed for a mass graveyard, covered by a yellow tent. Looking down the side streets there is a large imposing wall hastily made from shipping containers to quarantine the area.

The Saloon. This is a relatively small map that takes place in a two-story western saloon. Fighters can fight each over using various things you can find in a pub, like pool cues, benches, beer bottles and even darts from the dart board!

Maybe an upside-down esq place with daemons and monsters occasionally walking onto the arena? Or maybe an arena on top of a massive robot, during the middle of a battle with [i]another[/i] giant robot. So the field of battle gets kinda blown up in certain sections, or weapon systems pop up out of the ground.
