Her eyes locked on to mine. My hand tightens. Sweat and heavy breathing is the only thing either of us can feel right now. That, and the overwhelming need to win. The match has gone on for what feels like hours, the sun sits gently on the horizon. Waiting. Just waiting. She leaps into the air and I immediately slide to my left. The courtyard flashes with fury as she lands where I stood with the cold blue glow of an Arcstaff at her side. She looks to me and dashes directly towards me. I run, as fast as I can without looking back, down the hallways toward where I last spawned. I can feel the static getting closer. Closer. Closer. I dodge forward and turn as I fall to the ground. She jumps up with her staff in both hands ready to slam, when suddenly... ZWOOP!! I lock a void tether straight through her chest that sends her flying back, arching over boxes and crates before slamming to the ground. Her staff flickers out, the energy fades, and she barely stands with purple ropes of energy bound to every limb. She grunts and reaches for her knife. She grabs it and looks up in search of me. But as I phase out of invisibility directly behind her, she's too late. I press the cutting edge of my custom built Quick Fang to her back. I lean in close to the back right side of her head. "I win, Indi." I flourish a twirl with the blade before taking a victory stance over her. Her ghost revives her in front of me and the Sun finishes its setting cycle. The arena quickly fades to dark and Lord Shaxx himself comes to join us. A laugh that no one in the history of the Traveler has ever questioned as to who's it was, echoes through the now scratched, scorched, and shattered walls of Bannerfall. "You two are phenomenal! Ah, if I could find me a match like that I'd need a new arena! Ahaha!" Shaxx shakes his head with joy. "What about Ikora?" Indigo jabs. Shaxx's head suddenly shakes a bit quicker as he denies the question. "You two should be going now. You've definitely used the space longer than last time. I have a very impatient line of Guardians waiting to play control here, you know." "Sorry, Shaxx. We'll be going now." I carry a stride to myself before she takes her staff and tries to trip me with it. She's definently gotten better since the last time I fought her. But I don't see her practicing all that much. I wonder what she's been up to.
