Hi there,
It looks like I've been banned and I have no understanding as to why.
I simply do not cheat in video games, I never have and never will. I'm a game developer by trade myself and I understand the effect cheating and exploits can have in the community.
I understand there is zero recourse for overturning bans and I wholeheartedly agree that bans should be firm on cheaters but I haven't received any sort of the following:
- A notification that I have been banned.
- The nature of the ban, is it permanent?
- A reason for the ban, I have NO IDEA why this has occurred.
If I have done something wrong then I totally accept that, but I am confident that I have not.
Is it possible to get more information on this?
I've just recently got back into the game and purchased Forsaken just 2 weeks ago. That's $60 that I've paid for so I won't just accept an erroneous ban.
Cheers,
Jacob.
EDIT:
The only possible explanation I can begin to fathom is I at one stage had the following software (https://www.murgee.com/auto-clicker/) running.
This is a simple mouse clicker that I use for various work functions and occasionally idle games which surely can not be grounds for a permanent ban.
Can any Bungie employees please weigh in on what has happened to my account, as I've spent money on this product.

Bearbeitet von BNGSecurity: 7/18/2019 4:23:54 PMYour account was banned for run-time debugging of the Destiny game client at approximately 8:00PM PST on July 16th. As per our ban and restriction policies, "Runtime analysis [of the Destiny game client] is not permitted and could result in an account or device ban." This ban has been reviewed and upheld.

I'd just love an honest conversation with a Bungie support team member to try and get to the bottom of this. Happy to provide any information at all that can help. Thanks in advance.

I have an auto clicker on my pc too but it’s never running while I play destiny. It indeed was likely the cause of your ban since its unwanted software and creates an inhuman reaction.

Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47715 *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.

If you get a "not so fast..."message then the ban is permanent. Bungie will not tell you why you were banned.
