Can you now?
-
Yep. Interesting find. I think the actual fragments are way smaller, but that thing looks mighty suspicious. I think the theory that there is a small pyramid ship under the moon is starting to get more plausible. The Hive dismantle parts of it and start experimenting on it. It might be a Hive void crystal, but it look too irregular to be that. The ones we currently have in the game are a way more symmetrical.

Bearbeitet von Ghost593835: 7/17/2019 2:46:59 PMYeah I saw it and was thinking they were cutting pieces from it. Those small ships are estimated to be the same size as the dreadnought. Possible but would like to wait for more Intel. If it is one of those ships, I wonder who is command. Do what ever inside just take over. Could these ships have a link to the worm gods in some way. Being direct servants. Is there a dreaming God in our moon? How many path ways into darkness references can I play with? Tho this is could the void crystals raw forn.

<I spent ages trying to estimate the size of those ships, but right now it seems to me that the small ships would only get up to 4 km in length, making them the biggest non-command ship crusier in the franchise so far and it would make them VERY visible next to the Traveler from long distances. Though it makes the Mothership many times as big. The smallest would point to the cruisers being as big as a Cabal command ship (The Immortal) with the Mothership being not much bigger than the Traveler in surface area.>
-
The immortal is a really small ship. It's not that big. I'm disappointed in the cabal. They were just push overs with small ships.
-
<~682 m is pretty small compared to 4 km. I just used the lights that lined the sides of the small ships for the "max" measurement.>
-
I see interesting. So a cabal size ship could fit. It's funny how the cabal have big tanks but their ships are just meh.
-
<It also makes the mass of the 40+ Darkness Armada greater than the entire Red Legion fleet if you removed the Almighty.>
-
Ita easy to have bigger things than the cabal. Star destroyers are bigger. The plot really helped them.
-
I think that is one of the biggest counterpoints to the theory. It’s just very unlikely that the ship is very big. But we do know that there is/was a crashed ship that is the source of these fragments. I’m positive it’s either from that secret golden age mission or a Darkness related ship.
-
<I don't think a Golden Age mission could produce fragments that are that... Dark. We've touched normal objects covered in Darkness before, but the fragments seem to be intrinsically linked to it.>
-
Apfel, why could it not be both?
-
Because that would have to mean that a Darkness ship was here way before the main fleet, without being detected at all. That might be possible, but it’s very unlikely, at least in my mind. Do you have a different explanation?
-
Could have been there since the collapse
-
Think of the abomination known as Bayformers 3. It’s entirely likely that the shards are the wreckage of a ship destroyed long ago, where some of it has ended up embedded in the Moon. Then it might have been a Golden Age exploration group might have found it. But time will tell.
-
But then we still need to explain where it came from. Why is it so early? Why only one?
-
Well think of this, if a ship exploded light years away from our Galaxy, what would be the odds that a single large chunk would actually impact anything?
-
<Before as in before their return or before as in before the Collapse? Because the latter would be unlikely. The thing probably crashed after the Collapse.>
-
The latter, before the Collapse.
-
We will have to wait and see.
-
Yep. Hey, next time you have something for me, just DM me, that’s more convenient than a post that everyone sees.
-
Will do.
