Hey all,
We’ve been tracking an issue where Guitar errors were appearing frequently in Raids, Gambit, and Gambit Prime since the Revelry event went live. Through our investigation, we’ve found that Orb generation off of precision kills, specific to Revelry, are causing these errors.
Effective immediately, we’re disabling precision Orb generation for these activities for the remainder of the event. Additionally, we will be disabling this functionality in Competitive Crucible. While we are unable to disable the effects of Tonic buffs, we have the ability to disable Orb generation which has been a topic of feedback since Revelry went live.
Triumphs and Bounties associated with Revelry orb generation may be completed in Quickplay Crucible playlists, Strikes, Patrols, Black Armory Forges, and the Verdant Forest.

I would rather deal with Guitar errors all day in Gambit over spending 1 match in the dumpster fire they call crucible. FFS.
-
thank you Bungie for listening. "At this time, our current plan is to reduce this requirement to 20 orbs."
-
I am not happy about that. I don't like and I don't play Crucible, so it's impossible for me to finish this event, Thanks Bungie.

Bearbeitet von battosai1972: 4/27/2019 10:43:37 AMI am not happy about this - I have 34 orbs left to complete the everything - and now seems impossible to complete and I doubt it will be fixed by the end of the event (some people work and have obligations outside extra grinding created by a fault) ....you guys have really dropped the ball. I am considering this will be the last event I take part in :( Are you guys going to compensate those that are now stuck because of this fault??
-
Bungie - thanks for listening to all the feedback and for giving us a reply. The answer may not be palatable to some / many, but I, for one, am content with the outcome. Of course, I’m also up to 138 orbs, but that’s another matter, lol.
-
So the thing I don't understand is that revelry is almost 50% over and you can't fix the issue during the event? That's like Walmart saying that our site is down during Christ so you can't buy Christmas deals until the season is over... I don't get you guys.
-
You should have the ABILITY to do whatever you want to YOUR game
-
Just need 10 Strike orbs and then I've got the fusion. Really couldn't give less of a toss for an emblem.
-
It’s YOUR (Bungie’s) game, your code, you developed it, built the engine Geez, how can you not be capable of disabling all/any aspect of what you built ? Has the AI gone rogue, locked the vault ? Quick, call Zavala, he don’t need no key!
-
Can verdant orbs be also earned in iron banner?
-
Who else is excited for Borderlands 3?
-
Sweet business @ bungie for the fix.

Bearbeitet von CJ: 4/26/2019 11:26:03 AMNot that it matters, cuz Bungie’s gonna do what they want, but... “Forcing” players to play all aspects of their game, for collectible rewards, is smart business. I’m no 1%er, but I got the competitive triumph done, while the requirement is still 200 orbs. I, personally, don’t think that just buying the game should get you all of the rewards. You should have to play the activities/events that coincide with the emblem, ghost, sparrow etc. that you’re hunting.... (I.e. took me 81 completions of Nokris, to get that f’n rocket launcher). After all, Bungie’s not just handing out any of the PvE cosmetics. PS. @Bungie, Why not add variants of emblems for those of us who complete the criteria, before you nerf??

Question...is the Iron Ruby shader still not dropping?

Revelry: Verdant Light Last week, Revelry Orbs were disabled in Gambit, Gambit Prime, raids, and Competitive Crucible due to an increase in GUITAR errors and activity disconnections. As multiple sources of progress for the “Verdant Light: Competitive” Triumph are no longer available, the team has been investigating a change to the requirements for completion. As the above listed activities no longer provide progress, players are required to create 200 orbs by defeating other Guardians with precision kills in Quickplay, Rumble, and the featured Crucible playlist. This week, that playlist is Iron Banner, for example. At this time, our current plan is to reduce this requirement to 20 orbs. This change will be deployed after the Revelry ends, in Destiny 2 Update 2.2.2. Players who meet the requirement of 20 orbs will have the Triumph auto-complete after downloading the patch, which will also unlock the “Party Harder” Triumph and "Stimulant Spring" Emblem reward if all other Revelry Triumphs have been completed. source: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47793

Actually, yesterday I was playing Gambit (normal mode), new Arcadia map, when i killed a goblin blocker with a precision hit I got the black screen and then the guitar error . So, are you sure to have done a good job still?

Way to ruin the game and what was a fun event. You really suck for this one

Bearbeitet von stickboy: 4/25/2019 5:52:31 PMSo this is the last triumph I need for the emblem I was wondering why I’ve been stuck at 36 orbs and I’ve played the shit out of gambit plz fix this
-
Kinda terrible how the virescent emblem doesn't track previous runs after completing pretty much everything and getting all the gear it finally drops
-
Just a quick update: I played a full gambit match and still no orb generation. 👎
-
It kinda just occurred to me the reason they disabled generation is mostly to keep people from qucikly completing orb generation bounties... "Just gotta keep people grinding, it's not about gameplay, it's about grind"....
-
Dear Bungie - I’m still getting guitar errors, albeit less than before. It would be nice if you all considered the feedback / requests to do something to the Verdant Light Competitive Triumph to make its completion more consistent with the other triumphs. Following said consideration, would you also please let us know what you decided? If the answer is that no further changes will be made, please say so? Silence is not an answer. I am cracking on with the triumph, spending lots of time in Iron Banner and slowly accumulating orbs; however, it has to be said that at a rate of 2 orbs for every 2-4 precision hits, this has to be one of the most tedious triumphs around.

Is this what you're saying? I know that will never be answered. I was under the impression after the launch of D2 was so dismal and you lost how many millions, literally MILLIONS, of players that you resolved to have a better feel for what the player base wanted but it looks like you're back to your old tricks and the Bungie company ethos that I think Luke Smith said "It doesn't matter, we just roll anything out and they (the players) just keep throwing money at us." He really did say that look it up. So thanks Bungie, thanks a lot for disappointing and screwing us over again. When does it stop, when do you become ashamed of what your doing and the money you're basically stealing from people. Yes, it is stealing when someone buys something from someone else and that thing doesn't work like it was promised. Just do the right thing already please. Either complete that single Triumph for everyone or put another way to get the orbs in place. One time listen to a group that isn't totally Crucible centered.
-
Fix your broken f#*king game already Bungie or give players credit for attempting your crappy triumphs. Damn it!!!

So, to get the Verdant Light: Competitive triumph, you must generate 200 orbs of light just in the Crucible? As a primarily PvE player with a full-time job, this is virtually impossible. Is there some kind of adjustment that can be made on this particular triumph, to make up for the loss of the only activity in which a non-PvP-er is able to generate multiple orbs? The average player will be hard-pressed to generate more than 3-4 orbs per Crucible match, and some of us really don't want to be forced into playing 50 or more Crucible matches in the next two weeks. Any way a change to that particular triumph is doable?
