♤ Icarus Bloodstone - Troubleshooter: Page 1 - The Cosmodrome

Pan down on a soft sunrise over the cosmodrome. A "restricted area" sign barely holds on to its bent post. Suddenly the horn of a fallen house in the distance breaks the the cold silence just beyond the wall. A hunter shoots up from what feels like a long dream. Eyes wide, grasping the air where a weapon should be. "Wha- wh... When did I get here again?" Icarus Bloodstone looks around dazed and pauses. "Ghost?" A moment passes before a small sphere with half a broken shell stumbles out of transmat. "Ghost! What in the hell happened to you!?" The expression of terror could almost be seen through the two glowing eyes of the hunters helmet. The ghost doesn't speak, but barely hovers above the ground. Icarus picks him up and carries him until they get inside the wall, where he carefully lets him down and pulls out a small device that looks "home-made" at best. He places the ghost inside this box like device and transmats the two to his ship, waiting just inside the atmosphere. Ghostless, weaponless and confused, Icarus makes his way through the cosmodrome, keeping as low of a profile as he can. That is, until he comes upon a group of fallen gathered around what appears to be an empty servitor. They mumble a language Icarus doesn't quite understand yet, but it's enough to get him wary. He sneaks up on a chunk of metal that's bent off of the wall, crouches low, and waits for a mark. "A captain, two vandals, and a handful of dregs... should be easy enough." He whispers to himself, forgetting his lack of light currently. A dreg stands, back facing Icarus. His mistake. Icarus stands up, flourishes a knife in his hand a bit, and hurls it directly into the back of the dregs head. Absolute silence comes from an open mouth as the dreg drops to ground. Shocked agnes alerted, every fallen looks up to where the knife came from, to find nothing but wall. A thud behind one of the vandals, then a scream as it falls face first into the dirt, a dark violet spewing from its back, as Icarus stands from his three-point landing, knife in hand. "Hello beautiful, wanna dance?" He grins under his helmet before the captain roars to life. She reaches down for her shrapnel launcher and cocks it once before looking back to icarus, who is already charging the vandals linear fusion rifle that he previously killed. ZAP! The captain shakes violently as her eyes roll back and her body is wrapped with arc energy. The other vandal attempts the same, but severely misses as Icarus dodges directly behind the empty servitor. Two dregs grab onto him while he's crouched, and the captain manages to shake off the effects of the rifle, burn marks across her armor and body from the shocks. She stumbles over to Icarus and grabs him by the throat, lifting him into the air. Kicking and choking, Icarus is helpless. He drops the weapon he held, and attempts to break the grip around his neck. Unable to, he starts beating the fists of the captain, but she just laughs and sticks her launcher on him, barrels to the chest, ready to pull the trigger. Just then, a city ship flies in from orbit, causing all the fallen to look up at the flash of light coming from the sky. The captain's grip loosens just barely enough for Icarus to breathe. He takes a gasp, kicks off the captain's chest, sending a boot straight into her chin. She is knocked back, tripping over the rifle he dropped. Icarus dashes for the rifle, then makes a tactical dodge towards the ship, as it transmats him in. Icarus collapses onto the floor of the ship as it takes off towards the tower. Pushing himself up and into his feet, he stumbles into the cockpit to a familiar face. "And what do we tell Zavala you were doing out here?" Amanda Holliday snaps at him with a grin. "Ah, he doesn't even have to know we were here!" Icarus takes a seat next to her and slides off his hooded helmet. His dirty brown hair flops out and covers his forehead, as he puffs a breath to move it out of his way. Amanda laughs, "Who do you think sent me here in the first place? Zavala is well aware of your doin's." Her words make him uneasy. He sighs, and slumps down in the seat. Out the window, Icarus' ship sails into view with a blinking excuse for a ghost shell at the wheel. It stirs through the air, coming a little close to Amanda's away times before gliding almost out of sight again. This continues the rest of the way back to the tower. Icarus looks down at the weapon he stole and used as a crutch to get to the cabin. He eyed it up for a bit, curious as to its hidden potential.
