I don’t know what is going on since the update to Black Armory, but every match in quickplay is lopsided. Either my teammates are terrible and we are getting completely destroyed, or my team is crushing the other team. I can’t seem to find a good game, and it has become completely boring or unplayable. Please look at match making

I love it when people keep talking about an update breaking matchmaking, even when the update doesn't change matchmaking. 🙃
-
If you're not one of bungies streamers they don't give a -blam!- about you deal with it.

I agree.

Matchmaking has been crap for a really long time now. I want to say it was broke after the Community Summit where they complained about not having chill Quickplay matches.
-
I conccur, it's pretty bad. I'm having zero fun in Crucible lately and I wonder if the playerbase decline has anything to do with it because nothing else can explain this unbalanced mess.
-
Where are the Christmas noobs? I need higher kd

I’ve been avoiding quick play, not because it’s full of people using meta-weapons, but because the lobbies consist of players across the world in multiple continents, regardless of what time I play, and I’m in the center of the United States. When you match players in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, the connections are less than ideal, and with damage referee, the outcome will be determined based on your vicinity to the activity host. I’m strongly against skill-based matchmaking, but, not only is there no skill-based matchmaking in quick play, there’s also no connection based matchmaking. I don’t know what you would call the current matchmaking other than shit.

This week I think it is because all the casual players are doing Mayhem. Most people who turn down Mayhem to do QP are probably the more serious PVP types.
-
Bearbeitet von PilksUK: 12/16/2018 5:41:16 PMLol this has been my experience with PVP both QP and comp since a few weeks before Forsaken launched when they had a bug with SBMM that forced them to turn in off for QP and then never turn it back on...Do what I did stop playing D2 pvp.
-
I would echo what others said: 1-It’s worse when mayhem is out because that’s a faster way to get bounties done so you run into more QP pubstompers. 2-It’s been like this since Warmind and it sucks. 3-They have kept it like this because streamers like it this way. They can run stacked and get long kill streaks and high kill games against new players and solo players that shouldn’t be matched against them. (TrueVanguard is the exception. His videos have been him going on long kill streaks even when he had to do it against players closer to his skill level). It sucks to see so many players hate this aspect of PVP and so many quit because it’s not fun. I hope at some point Bungie will review these comments and take another look at it, but I’m not going to hold my breath. As long as streamers like it and lie that it makes the game better I don’t see it changing.

Been like that for me since forsaken launched and maybe before
-
Tbh I think matchmaking is still the same, but lobbies are getting sweatier because a) the casuals stopped playing pvp b) you get owned harder in the shotgun meta I solo que in quickplay and win almost all of my games by carrying 3 or 4 people who go negative. I was not able to do this back in the antiope / uriels high ttk meta where I was more reliant on my team to teamshot with me
-
It has been lopsided for more than a year now. But quickplay has been strange this week: took me honestly 5min to get 12 people to start a match Wednesday.

Bearbeitet von Lost Sols: 12/16/2018 6:08:55 PMIt's been this way ever since they removed skill factoring. I've found about 40% of my games have one team with a significantly higher player (platinum, diamond, master tier) who decide outcomes and it comes down to which team gets the ringer(s). Average victory margins in Control are well over 50 points. It's also been worse this week with Mayhem because so many normal players are there instead of QP, particularly those who only PvP to do their bounties, etc, so it's been even worse with running into the people who ditched Comp to pub-stomp in QP the second they got their Luna's. Unfortunately Bungie have no plans to address QP Matchmaking at this time and most likely won't unless more people like you speak up about the experience, so thank you for posting this.

Implying it was ever good to begin with
it wasn’t
the 'match making' in quick play is just the first 12 guys in that are physically close to each other, then it stops. Could they match those 12 using some sort of system? Yes. Do they? No. I rather think that's how they do competitive but use ranks as well.
-
What if there was a loss mechanic? If it puts you into a losing match no penalty. If you do well for yourself it adds. If you spawn into a heavily unbalanced game you have your super. After 3 consecutive losses you get some sorta incentive to keep playing and after 5 you get something better than the 3 tier loss. Idk about you, but I lose like all the time or I quit because shit matches are shit.
-
Honestly I'm just so sick of feeling like every element of pvp is being ninja micromanaged. I never know if I'm getting better or worse
-
It's possibly a population issue. Mayhem is active and people are mainly trying to do PvE activities to level up. Some people might just not want to play PvP anymore either. I know I'm stopping since my Prime Engrams are dropping 650 stuff.
-
Bruh. Late to the party. Skill consideration was totally removed in warmind.
-
Agreed; I also think this is an appropriate crowd to ask if rumble should grant glory points: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/250175249/0/0

I’m not really seeing this. It’s been fine for me
-
Bungo doesn’t care about general player’s concerns with matchmaking. That bein’ said, there is a small chance we’ll see a change if enough people stop watchin’ “75-Kill Match” vids, they’ve moved on to makin’ content about Anthem, and try to throw somethin’ at the wall to “fix” the wasteland that Crucible has become.
-
Pfft, josh hamrik and them think this is a great experience. He hasn't worked on crucible since the summer.
