If a movie was to be made about Destiny, where would you like to see it be set?
And would you like it to follow the Lore of the game, or take a creative new spin?
Every time the thought comes to mind, I always think of the Twilight Gap and how many different directions that could go, wether it be spot on the Lore or even just loosely based upon it.

Bearbeitet von HiddenAlignment: 9/20/2018 1:39:27 AMI think it should be about the first Risen (early guardians, for those who don’t know) and how it escalated into the Dark Age with the Warlords. It would then show how the Iron Lords fought back against them and how the City was created.

A prequel to the game would likely be best, perhaps the origins of the first Guardians, or a tale of the Iron Lords would be best, as long as it doesn't rehash any of the in game content. Or a story of Lord Shaxx in his pre-crucible days could be cool too
-
I personally would like the battle of six fonts but the book of sorrows is what I think everyone would like.
-
It should be about the Book of Sorrows. Easily the greatest pieces of lore in the game. And it’s actually the perfect script to follow.
-
Watch 2036 origin unknown and maybe get a glimpse of the whole over arching idea.
-
As long as I see a guardian doing the creeper I'll be satisfied.
-
For the movie to stand a chance of not sucking you have to ensure Uwe Bol doesn't have anything to do with it.
-
I would like it to stay on the cutting room floor. If there is something Destiny related put it in the -blam!-ing game.
-
I fell like the 3 best option are a tv series on the story of thorn and last word, a movie about twilight gap set to the same pace as a WW2 movie, and the 3rd and in my opinion best idea would be a movie set during the battle of six fronts that is kinda like rough one

I've always been a big proponent of making it more of a cinematic universe type feel. But not on the silver screen. more of a netflix/HBO type thing: Season 1: Heart of the Garden Movie 1: original VoG (Osiris's team) Season 2: VoG/Crota's End Movie 2 (comes out mid second season): Crota's orginal raid team with toland & Eris Season 3&4: Taken War (features some old school fundament flashbacks) Season 5: Rise of Iron Season 6: Age of Triumph & Ghaul (intro of Calus/shows flashes of Prince uldren's kell ascension) Movie 3: Return of Osiris Movie 4: Intro of Xol/Nokris season 7: Forsaken/Whirlwind explanation/alliance with fallen (hinted in previous seaons) Movie 5: Drifter's intro Season 8: Penumbra/usher in of darkness/realization of Sa'vathun and Xivu Arath Season 9: Continued battle with Sa'vathun & Xivu Arath; Calus shadows; Quira Betrayal Season 10: final fight with Darkness/Savathun/Xivu Arath; rise of a Kell; Calus's intentions revealed; Vex cliffhanger thing Now those aren't clear cut. you could intertwine the darkness in a lot of seasons. forshadow the hive sister, forshadow calus and many other things. Just though all of that would be a cool idea.

I mean, if it does turn out good, new audiences might be appealed, so I either suggest starting from the roots of D1 or going in chronological order from the first guardians to where we are now(and maybe a bit of books of sorrow) but if it was a movie it should be a specific event like a raid or something.
-
Probably about the origins of Oryx and the Hive

Bearbeitet von KayOsS882: 9/19/2018 4:47:54 PMIf a movie was made, they will cut content to release it as a DLC. Then they will nerf the characters. And you have to buy your movie tickets at Eververse.

Battle of Six Fronts, Eris's backstory and her failure against crota, original team going into the vault of Glass, shin malphur and dregden yor. I could go on. Basically, I don't want them to tell one of our stories. Tell a story from the lore. The best would probably be Twilight gap. But the Story of Thorn and the Last Word has a layer of loss and revenge to it that makes it way more personal.
-
Twilight gap, the sham Kara hunt, or early iron lords
-
I would like a Animated TV series than a live action film. That way it’ll appeal to the Destiny fans and not mainstream audiences. Most video game movies now a days, unless done right, don’t tend to sell at the box office :(
-
remember defiance... what a hyped up turd that was, on both fronts...
-
Someone needs to give Neil Bloomkamp a lore book and some funding for this.
-
I think the fireteam lost on the vault of glass would be pretty legit... twilight gap.... the first guardians.... i.e. make it easy and go with how Cayde, Zavala and Ikora became a fireteam
-
Do we know who the first guardian was? That could make a good movie. That or shin malphur, that story has heros journey/revenge plot written all over it.
-
It should be named” How the dumpster fire burns”. Wait that should be a soap....
-
The Books of Sorrow, or the Iron Lords raid on the SIVA Replication Chamber.
-
If they are going to do movies it hink it makes the most sense to do something pre-D1. Something like twighlight gap as you said, six fronts, or maybe the shin malphur/dredgen yor plotline.
-
<Something eventful like the Taken War or even the Red War. Forsaken itself could make a good trilogy.>

Bearbeitet von Starkweather: 9/19/2018 4:40:31 PMPossibly the Dark Below. If I remember correctly it's the first time Guardians have entered an Ascendant Realm (aside from Toland). Combine the horrors of the Hive, the threat of an invasion from Luna and the emotional depth of Eris Morn's tragedy I think we have something solid to work with.
