This doesn't fit super well, but for the sake of variety, I'll say The Sims 3. Gameplay is great - features like the open world make it feel pretty modern - but its art style and performance hold it back. Sims are terrible to look at, the simulation lags and glitches, and load times for a save file are crazy long with just a few EP's. It would take more than a remaster to fix all the issues, but even just updating the Sims' art style would go a long way. Ultimately, a "fixed" Sims 3 would be much better than Sims 4 IMO. Editing to add Sim City 4. Probably an easier remaster overall. You could get away with just updating graphics and UI, but if you really want to do it right, you would need to redo the transportation system too. Sounds difficult, but a random modder managed to make it happen.
