Just why bungie? This game is not designed for 6v6..
The maps aren't
The weapons aren't
It's going to be a living hell

Bearbeitet von TheWagn: 7/16/2018 6:58:07 PMWill be fine if we had less heavy ammo. I swear half my deaths are from heavy and the other half is from supers Also the occasional graviton lance edit: and the spawns are absolute trash
-
Because of players complaining that they wanted the D1 6v6 bought back from before D2 was released.
-
Have to wait until after Forsaken. I heard Bungie was going to make our Guardians three feet tall to make the PvP maps seem bigger and extend the grind for anything related to walking or running. But look on the bright side, they said they would add tricycles for us to use on Mercury that would accommodate our child-like statures.
-
6v6 is going to be total garbage... whelp time to skip that call to arms milestone.
-
I originally typed out this huge article size response. I ended up condensing it. The decision makers at Bungie are f***in idiots.
-
What do you expect? These are the same leads that created the slow, autorifle, teamshot meta that killed off their pvp fanbase. Expecting these guys to get it right is just.............wrong.

Bearbeitet von A_mo: 7/16/2018 1:38:59 PM6v6 is not a good idea. I will let it happen before I pass too much judgement but I don't see it working. Its what people asked for though. Instead of asking for, oh I don't know, weapon buffs or something, people wanted 6v6 so they could get easy multi kills that they don't have to earn.
-
PvP already sucks anyway.

Bungie changes pvp to 4v4 for D2, community uproar, "we want 6v6". Bungie changes pvp back to 6v6 in response to community uproar. Community now cries "Bungie why you do this? We want 4v4". Worst community of all time confirmed. And before anyone says it, yes I'm very aware it's different people within the community saying the different things, it just goes to show, yet again, how impossible this job is for Bungie. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
-
Thank the community. They asked specifically for 6v6 for months.
-
everyone was happy with their choice of 4v4 and 6v6 for quickplay now we are all forced to eat from 1 plate what do you thinks going to happen limit the prefered choice you get a uprising from the "used to be" happy gamers. I agree forcing everyone to 6v6 is horrible and i cant play this game till its fixed.

This is my first post on this forum and it is to say I don't like 6v6. I always disliked Iron Banner because it was too zergy and it generally involved one team steam-rolling the other team in casual play. 4v4 was more tactical and allowed more strategies as a solo queuer then just riding the zerg and trying to squeeze off a shot before your target melts. It also felt like individual players were able to have more of an impact on the game. And yes, the maps are too small for 6v6 and were designed with 4v4 in mind. I didn't ask for 6v6. I didn't complain about shit. At least there still is competitive for players who aren't so ridden with ADD that they need to constantly be shooting at something in order to have fun. Anyhow, back to playing the game I guess... for now.
-
4v4 is much better I agree. Between having to play 6v6 and Control, getting my pvp milestone done today was just awful.
-
The maps need to be fixed for 6v6 to work. Spawns need to be fixed. I was outgunning 2v1 than it became 1v1 than 3v1. Spawn points need to be fixed.

If there was a big overhaul to optimize this game for 6 vs 6 that would be great but how they are doing it, with minimal effort as possible, it's just going to chase more people away. In D1 we all had special ammo to be "OP" at any given moment. In D2 the slow TTK and how heavy ammo is distributed has made this game the worst PVP experience I've ever played. Making 6 vs 6 on an engine not made to sustain 12 players at a time really shows in Iron Banner. The horrible hit detection, spawns, and overall gameplay clearly suffers compared to 4 vs 4. 😐

Bearbeitet von Jericho_Wolf99: 7/17/2018 1:23:33 AMWhat do you expect. Whinners:4v4 isn't built for Destiny the matches take to long, when i use my super half the time there's no one around to use it on,I can't find anyone to kill, and ect. Bungie: ok so we're going to test out 6v6 for the next iron banners. Whinner:ok this is great now thanks bungie just wish i could play 6v6 more often. Bunige:ok we will talk about it and get back with you. Bungie months later: so we thought about and time for 6v6 to come back so we are making it a permant addition to the game. Whinners:thank you. People with common sense: what the hell are you think have you not played PvP during banner half the time it's 6 bffs or clan memebers usinf meta weapons, stacked supers, and team shooting everyone vs 6 solo players. Bungie:don't care deal with it we pander to youtubers and lowest common denominator. Whinners: Yea. This is how it went down in spades.

I enjoy 6v6, but the way I see it, 6v6 already has its own playlist — it's called Iron Banner! Why eliminate 4v4?
-
I really do not know the answer. I really don't. 4v4, 6v6, more heavy, less heavy, ammo slots, TTK.... I think I've just been playing along for a long time now. I lived to see the day that Universal Remote and No Land Beyond had their own nerf herder crowds. Who cares anymore. Fxckin just, do whatever.
-
Yeah, this update has just about killed my desire to get the upcoming dlc. I used to grind pvp in D2 and genuinely enjoyed the strategy of solo queuing in 4v4. This 6v6 though...I'm not into the chaos, and I don't even do that poorly either. I don't dig spawning into 3 enemy players, getting my face murdered, then spawning into someone's super. I'm not sure what the answer is anymore. I deleted D1 because I couldn't get into a gunfight. Just getting sniped and shotgunned all match long. 4v4 was fun. Maybe a permanent pvp lab to try out faster ttk, map sizes and team sizes would help.
-
Loved it. The constant chaos was wonderful. Way easier to get multi kills. You'll get used to it
-
Wouldn't be so bad if they'd just make ttk faster already. They're only solving half the problem and the 6 man teamshot ball will be absolutely devastating with the current balance. I'll keep saying it over and over again: more people will not stop teamshot. More people will make teamshot worse in the current balance. Critical thinking skills are important.
-
I guess it was too much to ask to make 4v4 and 6v6 simultaneously.

Bearbeitet von AVID_Eurobeat: 7/18/2018 5:31:21 AMPersonally I’ve been having a lot more fun playing pvp after the update. It felt a lot more like destiny 1.
-
Agree and confirmed today when playing....
-
I do agree that the maps were not designed for 6v6. So it’s pretty much insane spawns all over the place. But hey. We asked for it. Now we’re reaping what we sow
-
So many "Oh people asked for 6v6 but you still cry ? Loser !". Look 6v6 works look at CoD or Halo and can work for D2 but the problem and why it will not work in D2 is cause THE MAPS ARE TO DAMN SMALL. Players already get spawn killed and some times spawn trapped in 4v4s 6v6s is just gonna make it worst with more team stacking and team shooting. Go around a corner get killed by 3 players. Just spawned in oh you just got killed by 2 players. Respawn again hey just got 4 tapped by the last players of the enemy team using a Graviton Lance and that is not even factoring in if you are going up against a stacked 6 man clan team. Cause that is the other factor that will ruin 6v6 and that is of course stacked teams of clanmates. Need I explain more ? Only way to make this 6v6 work if Bungie adds at least 7 dedicated large maps for 6v6 and not use the small clearly designed for 4v4 maps for its rotation of maps. Like keep 4v4 and and also add a 6v6 playlist with its own large maps simple. Like Alter of Flame or Wormhaven are clearly small 4v4 maps and adding 4 more players is just gonna make it into a hated spawn trapping map players instantly leave when they see its the map.
