My current game history shows that I have completed 52 runs of Strange Terrain in the past three days....and I have nothing to show for it. The BrayTech Osprey is the first nightfall loot item that I actually wanted to chase. All other items, I'm sorry to say....were just friggin hideous. In those 50+ runs, not a single fireteam member received it. This makes me think that the drop rate is waaaaayyyy to friggin low. If they're adding deterministic results to Esclation Protocol (better chance at drop the more you do the activity), I think it should be added to nightfalls as well. If Bungie reads this: Of course you have your fan boys that will use the idiotic argument "you asked for a grind...you got a grind". This is not a grind...this is just an exercise in futility. When we ask for a grind, we're asking for decent loot with concrete quests/goals. Quest steps that you can complete without the involvement of RNG....bad RNG. The Polaris Lance and exotic catalysts are both great examples. These items show that you put the time in, completed the steps, and walked away with the gear you wanted. I have yet to see anybody in the wild that is using the Osprey, but if I did see someone, all I am going to think is that they had a horseshoe firmly wedged between their butt cheeks. I will probably give this a couple more tries, then just give up. I'll wait til Bungie adds something similar to a skeleton key to unlock the strike specifc loot, like in Destiny. Yes...yet another aspect of this game's predecessor that did it better.
