The only way this will work for players who want to play w friends, is if they add crucible restrictions, which only allow symmetrical teams. 4v4 They would have to require either you be in a team of 2 or 4. No teams of 3. I’m sure many will complain about having to drop a friend if they’re coming from story content. Though they can always just go play some 6v6 (Be MUCH more viable if they actually let you CHOOSE between playing modes at 4’s or 6’s. Hint hint Bungie) 6v6 They would have to require you to be in a team of 3 or 6 only Technically they could match 3 groups of 2 friends into a team of 6 but maybe that might make matchmaking take too long. Anyway, I’m guessing less would complain about this. It actually does kind of make sense because if you are coming from PvE straight over to PvP, you should already be in a team of 3 or 6 (depending on if it’s story content or end-game content). Without these restrictions, matchmaking will suffer because you’re trying to matchup a bunch of crazy teams of all different sizes... Solo, 2, 3, 4 (, 5, 6) With these restrictions, everyone with friends will fit together like matchmaking puzzle pieces.
