Cayde's "Resurrection" (A horrifying plot twist)
So I've been mulling over here and there how Cayde can be brought back to life and have it not be cheesey. Cayde's death is somehow actually very good to the story. It has weight.
So to me the only way Cayde could be resurrected is if his revival had just as much (if not more) weight than his death.
Then it hit me. The Scorn, The Forsaken. They're Fallen zombies. Zombies. As in reanimated corpses.
What if Cayde is brought back as a Forsaken? What if he [b]is[/b] [i]The[/i] Forsaken? What if this was all part of the plan? Kill Cayde, make a nercoguardian? What kind of horribly amazing and sadistic plot twist would that be?
Cayde is "alive" and now our enemy, a puppet of some higher, more sinister power?

3 AntwortenSirriously can we not take a few pages from comic books. When DC or Marvel kills someone, they are dead for a year or two. Let Cayde stay dead for the rest of D2. Bring him back in D3 as a huge surprise. But please leave him dead for a while, so his death matters. If he's killed off and resurrected in the same year then his death and our vengeance mean nothing. Honour the dead. #CaydeLivesInUs

14 AntwortenI doubt it. Bungie has confirmed that he’s 100 percent dead. Even a type of resurrection like what these “Scorn” have wouldn’t work. Sorry man, but denial is just a stage of grief. Meanwhile I’m over here wondering how these reanimated fallen are even alive, or have psionic powers.

There's something wrong with the story if that's the case. It doesn't seem right. Adding to his death would make more sense. His death not just have an effect on the story. Keep him dead tho, no no back to life as our enemy

Bringing Cayde back to life would completely remove the threat death has. It’s like when we lost our light and got it back. We have no threat. The death of a main character can bring about new story opportunities. Bringing him back to life would be wasting opportunity, as well as completely removing the threat death poses to us (it is barely a threat as is).
