Accuracy, more movement speed, melee hit registration, weapon perks, armor perks, grenades that kill not tickle, character build subclass individual perk selection , TTK lowered (quickened), back to 6v6 and 3v3s, weapon slots, crucible mode choice...all these things at least D1 levels.
How is a wholesale return to Destiny 1 gameplay seemingly not in the works?
Weapon slots will change, but what about the rest? Destiny 1 pvp was alive and popular even after D2 was announced. The continuation of the status quo will not sustain the franchise...
Ps. “Competitive” is horrifically implemented.

PvP should be removed completely. Then we can focus on real PvE content and add value to Destiny 2.

I disagree with some of the details, but you're basically right. The entire sandbox needs to be overhauled....and virtually all the changes to the sandbox that were made for Destiny 2 need to be thrown out...and the game reset back to what it was for Destiny 1. Those changes were motivated by a wish to NERF our Guardians in an effort to meet certain developer goals...and to satisfy certain vocal minorities within the player community. But without regard or respect for the wishes of the majority.....the core identity of the game...and what impact they would have on the game as a whole. In short...those changes broke the game on the PVE side...and sucked all the fun out of the game on the PVP side. The PVE side of the game is on the road back to recovery...and should be fine if Bungie delivers on what they're promising for September. PVP, OTOH, is in a bad spot....and the only way to really save it is to abandon this notion that you're ever going to recreate an experience similar to Halo in the Crucible. That experience is INCOMPATIBLE with a game that is a loot-based RPG on the PVE side....and one can also argue that the shooter community has moved past that kind of game play..... ...and Halo is a dying franchise.

So bring back D1?

Bearbeitet von mxgreg: 6/20/2018 6:39:58 PMHas anyone noticed that at time you can't kill a particular opponent... you granade, melee, uss all you sub ammo, then when YOU die it shows the incorrect level of the person that defeated you. Instead of their real level like.. 350-370.. it shows as level "10". The happens to me fairly often I wonder if it's a bug. I don't think they can fix the game. They put in a lot of work to make things the way that they are. I also think alot of the maps are not very good. In D1 many of the maps you could take different routes depending on your loadout and the distance you want to engage at.

Yes all of this and heavy should come like it did in d1. Also in control the zones need to neutralize and then capture like they did in d1
-
Why don’t we scrap D2
-
Strongly agree to everything
-
I agree with everything you have to say here. By the way, bungo is going change ttk with the forsaken update and quick play will become 6v6 permenantly with one of the updates (I think it’s the summer one)
-
Tehe your grenade tickles, tehe your melee feels like a marshmallow, tehe I killed you when you just activated your "super". ....in D1 people ran from supers, now people rush you sometimes lol.
-
I think you mean ENTIRE game needs a rework.

Bearbeitet von Soujourn_NL: 6/20/2018 9:51:44 AMHmm did i just read a "In the old days, everything was better" post? Grenades... well used to it now, so no problem with improving them or staying as they are. Melee... should be equal damage on all chars and 2 - hits should kill. Lower TTK = not cure all solution... it only decreases skill needed to PvP at this point IMO. 6v6 is fun on some maps, on others it's very close to being frustrating. Make it optional and i'll select 4v4 most of the times. Crucible mode choice, absolutely a good idea! Character build subclass individual perk selection, would give more depth to the classes, but in the current sandbox i would not say it's needed, it would be a bonus. Accuracy, more movement speed, melee hit registration, weapon perks, armor perks: Sandbox changes have been made and IMO there is alway room for improvement, but to call them horrific as they are now is heavy handed.
Share your thoughts
bungie needs to highlite all pvp code then hit delete that well free up time and money to work on fun things like pve events
-
you have to use skill to kill with a nade in this game, i like that to be honest. makes a change from nade spamming games like Battlefield. i nailed 2 with a nade in my last match tho so they do work ;) thats not saying there isnt room for change, there is.

I think a wholesale move to something we left behind is a terrible move. If you want to play D1 pvp, go do it. It's there for you anytime. D2 is a different experience and when someone stops comparing it other games and plays it for what it is, they'll realize that a lot of the problems they thought they saw were in their own mind. That said, I agree with some of your points. Hit registration needs on the Sentinel needs serious attention.
-
The problem is the lack of dedicated servers. The lag from match to match is frustrating and is why it sucks. They have not mention changing TTk in DLC.
-
I welcome 6v6 back, but I think a few of the maps are too small for it.
-
Empezando por separar PvP de PvE.
-
It won't matter unless they fix the server/netcode issues. Had one hunter in my first match of the Iron Banner this week get a 5kd and he was using "blink" a lot. If they try to make pvp competitive or good it will just highlight how bad the connections are even more. Also the last time they made pvp "good" with Trials of Osiris it just brought out every lag switcher and ddoser on the internet.

I think movement speed is fine. It doesn't need to be too crazy like Titanfall. Everything else..... Yeah pretty much. +1
-
It would be ridiculous of them to change the weapons slots, but keep the time to kill the same. Seriously... I think they mentioned they are actually working on it, and like superdirt52 said below, 6v6 is coming in the summer update. Machine guns need a return, and I would love for the game changing Destiny 1 heavy ammo spawn to make a return, but I highly doubt it.
