Simple as that. I have been playing the game for months and have not gotten one person to text "Hello" or get to speak with someone using voice comms at all. I have done all trickery i have read on forums and still cant fix the issue. It has the speaker icon when i talk but i cant hear anyone and i cant even tell if they hear me. I haven't even gotten someone in fireteam or crucible team chat to respond with a single "hello" or "yes i can read this" I have been trying for days. I have made everything default communications devices that needs to be I have enabled everything in the in game settings as well as the battle.net app settings that needs to be enabled I have tested the audio in the app/ as well as on my my pc test settings, it all works. I am playing on a beast of a machine that should have no "playing on a potato syndrome" issues My headset is a razer kraken USB headset that is extremely common amongst PC gamers. Not some obscure headset. I have tried these in other games. Works fine, Including other battle.net games such as overwatch. Honestly im at whits end and am about to demand a refund for the game. I have been playing for a few months and have yet to experience any in game communication from a player outside of its emote system. Perhaps ad an exotic emote that says "Hey! Add me to your clans disc so i can actually speak with someone". This has made end game PVP/PVE unobtainable and is seriously a dealbreaker on this otherwise fun game.
