I've seen many speculation about who the Nine are and what is their agenda, and it seems like everyone think they are our allies. I tend to disagree. They may be trying to balance the powers of the universe, but not out of friendship or fidelity to us. I think there is something more sinister about these guys. Here is why: 1. Ghost Fragment: Legends 2 states that they "are the aspects of the Darkness, broken by the Traveler's rebuke" and here is the doozy... "working to destroy us from within". 2. People always refer to the cool weapons and armor they give us... but are they? We don't know how powerful anything Xur or the Emissary give us is in the context of The Void potential where powers like the Voidwalker and the Nightstalker stems from, even the Traveler itself was made there. This is like some powerful armed forces giving you BB guns instead of the water guns you have, yaay. Sooooo no... I think these guys are as shady and sinister as they come in the Destiny universe.
