It's a matter of opinion.
Mine is that D2 is a fun game to play and great for what it is.
Additionally, the planned spacing between major updates is helpful in the regard that it gives time for them to collect as much data (and opinions) as possible before nerfing or buffing.
Bungie won't just roll over because of people who don't like the game. Sure, they will dump it and pick up something else; but hey, they made the money they could from those players before they jumped ship.
Long story short: anything Bungie does right now will be meet with intense scrutiny. They could even give up and change everything to how the haters want and still be trashed and complained about.
Further opinion: if someone doesn't like the game or want to play, they should play something else. If that someone wants to play the game but not 'in its state,' offer constructive feedback.

Not everybody in the world is as easily amused as you! Destiny 2 should have never been released in the horrible state that it did. It proved to me that Bungie is totally clueless about their game and clueless on how to read feedback.
-
I'm far from 'easily amused.' If such was the case, I'd bounce from game to game like many others do. Is D2 what we expected to see as a sequel: No. Is it still a decent game with good gameplay: yes.
-
Really? A good game to play? I think it sucks bags of dirt to be honest. It feels like it was made for 10 year olds for one. It also felt like it was half finished at best! The only thing they added that was good was ledge grab. Its a pile a crap game that gives you absolutely no reason to play it other than the first play through. You think this is a good game?? People like you should demand a little better product for your money. You admit that its not all that, but you still stick up for the pile of crap. This company lied, scammed and also shown you their pretty stupid and you still stand there and defend them.
-
I do not defend, I just play the game. If you don't like it, play something else. Never did I state that D2 is everything I hoped it would be. Far from it. Doesn't make it less fun for me to play.
-
I have a lot of questions, maybe you could help me with one? In D1 the vault system wasn’t perfect but after much community feedback and work by bungie it was improved a lot. In D2 the vault system is actually worse than at the start of D1. Why is this? And why should we pay AAA money to go over the same issues that plagued the first game. This is a collection game said by the devs themselves, so you would think a good vault system would be some what of a priority??? This is just one of many issues.
-
I will not deny that there are shortcomings. This is why I have not and will not yet say that D2 is a great game. It's not perfect. There are lessons that should have been learned. Overall, it's still an enjoyable game.
-
Mine is that D2 is a fun game to play and great for what it is.
What it is? It is a routine generic shooter that's a few years behind other modern shooters. It's great if you just want to shoot stuff for a few weeks and don't care about RPG's or loot.
-
How do you think it's a 'few years behind' other shooters?
-
Yes more constructive feedback so that Bungie can ignore all of it, good idea
-
If that's what you want to believe. 'ignoring' and 'not wanting to do' (whatever the reason) are two different things. Hell, if I were a decision maker at Bungie, there are a lot of people and things I would ignore. I will say that they should give a definitive yes or no to some of the hot topics, and/or long term thoughts and plans.
-
I agree but they’ll just ignore all of it just like they have been since day 1
-
You can't say they've ignored everything. Just for two examples: timer in Nightfalls and the nerf to the 450 autos. Not everything is going to change, and not everything that changes will be in a way that everyone desires.
-
Did you play D1?
-
I did indeed. I enjoyed it thoroughly. However I've already put almost as much time in on D2 as I did the entirety of D1. I dropped off shortly after release and didn't pick it back up until shortly after ttk, and didn't really play it again extensively until roi
-
Better yet, was he even around in D1? I recall people making this very same argument around this time in D1’s lifespan. Worse yet, people did leave constructive feedback, only for D2 to be their reward. Folks are done playing nice now.
-
If you read the reply, you'd know I had said as much. And again I'll state that not all feedback (constructive or not) will be addressed as those who are giving will like, if at all. Ultimately it's up to the designers and developers to make the game.
-
You’re not getting it. The thing you’re asking people to do, they’ve already done for D1. D2 was Bungie’s opportunity to show, with all the collected feedback and their own growing pains, how much they’ve learned and improved. When you put a 2 on the box, that comes with expectations, and Bungie monumentally failed in that regard. But in response to the criticisms, they pulled a “Hello Games” and went radio silent. It was only after the outrage after controversy after controversy after controversy was Bungie’s hand forced open. Now, that proved that Bungie only responds to what many people will call “negativity”. Wonder why there’s a lack of constructive feedback? Don’t blame the community, blame Bungie for how they carried themselves these past few months alone.
-
I get what you're saying. Out the gate D2 was not what many (most) of us expected. But what do you think the constant nerfs were about all through Destiny? Those who would complain about one thing or another. Bungie attempted to 'fix' this with a (overly) balanced system from weapons to class builds. For me, at least, once I got over what I thought D2 should be and just played the game, I've come to thoroughly enjoy it. I will concede though that usually it's the sqeaky wheel that gets the grease, and following that trend, those who complain the most that get the attention. However, generally speaking, it's well thought criticism that is more likely to be taken seriously over gut-reaction ranting.
-
You think any well meaning or well thought out criticisms didn’t happen during D1? You think it was all “nerf this, nerf that”? I’ve seen topic after topic on these forums offering feedback, suggestions, ideas and concepts that expanded the size and scope of the game and franchise, all made by passionate fans. Hell, there was Community Wishlist, made by Cozmo himself on the Feedback Forums. Destiny 2 used very little, if any, of that list and most of those ideas that came about in D1 was blatantly ignored. It painfully showed that they didn’t even bother. And you expect people to go through that process, a process that took three years all over again? -blam!- that.
-
Then don't?
-
And that’s why we’re here at this point.
