Getting lost is the way of finding something new

Hi everyone, I would love to present to you - Lost sectors
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3g7p8m-xQo
Cinematic video where I showcase all the beauty of Lost Sectors of Destiny 2. These areas are hidden and hard to find.. yet, as soon as you find them, you discover all magic that surrounds it and all the enemies who protect these sacred locations from unadventurous eyes.
_____
The video is 4 mins long and accompanied with orchestral music. I hope you guys will enjoy it and wish you all the very best.
With love,
Brill

Lost sectors are great, but they could've been so much more. I didn't understand why they were marked on the map though. Weren't we supposed to FIND these dungeons?
-
Love the lost sectors, great video :)

Nice video. Lost sectors are one of my favourite additions to D2. I love the visuals and the idea that these things are hidden away and the sense of exploration I get when entering some of them. In future I think Bungie need to have their icons removed from the mini-map, but leave the markers spray painted on the scenery in-game, I think that would give them an even better sense of exploration. Also perhaps improve the rewards or something like that. Hope you win MotW for this!

I feel sorry for all the graphic designers who spend months laboring on these areas, giving them incredible detail and being passionate about what they create, only to have it completely forgotten because Bungie can't find a reason to make you explore it.
-
Why do some lost sector icons disappear from the map after completion and others only gray our?

Bearbeitet von Uncanny_Vale: 3/22/2018 11:22:29 PM
These areas are hidden and hard to find.
Except they’re not. They are all marked right there on the map. That was a big mistake in my opinion and one of my major gripes about the Lost Sectors. It would of been so much cooler if we had to actually explore the world and find them all. Only once we complete it should it be marked on the map. Marking them on the map killed the sense of exploration, fun and mystery of finding them all. Instead Bungie as usual said “Casuals would find it too hard. Better put them on the map or they might get bored”. Edit: Also why no quests for the Lost Sectors? You think about dungeons in other games - there is always a quest giver that gives you a reason for going into the dungeon. Each Lost sector should of had a quest with a unique reward at the end of it. A unique weapon or piece of armour for example. Edit 2: Probably should of said after that rant. Nice video. 👍

It’s a travesty that they chose some random PvP video that really isn’t extraordinary over THIS to be MoTW. Someone who actually appreciates the hard work and love put into the art of this game is chucked to an “honorable mention” in favor of a video of a grenade. Smh.
These areas are hidden and hard to find
THEY'RE MARKED ON THE -blam!-ING MAPS YOU TOOL!
-
They are just caves with two blues and a token stop it.
-
Well let’s face it. They acted like Lost Sectors were explorable areas that would be interesting. They are tiny, hold little to nothing of interest and most can be skipped to the boss arena by jet packing. They had potential, given how it was described to us, but with how they delivered? An absolute failure. Kind of like that mountain over there, ya know? Yet another icon of failure. Without making them bigger with some more then a token and blue chest, why bother putting any more effort into them? Especially when there are a lot of other things needing attention.

I do agree that lost sectors look great. But they not only have to be inviting to the eye but also more interactive, challenging, and rewarding.

Realized this when I went into the lost sectors on IO, esp right by the spawn it’s almost like a patrol all it’s own. More interesting than Mars. Lost Sectors and Adventures, if they had an engaging loot pool, grimoire cards and hidden finds all their own, could have really kept interest afloat a lot longer. Really a missed opportunity, along with the infinite forest :( Most of them are awesome locations.
These areas are hidden and hard to find
If only. This game is such a nerfed, over-balanced, boring casual-fest that they felt the need to mark them on the map. That is what they think of the player base. Frankly it’s insulting.
-
I always get frustrated when they said we had to find them ourselves. Only to realize they were all pointed out on the map. A lot of lost potential in them as well. The loot need to be better as well.

Amazing video. Makes me sad that this masterpiece of a game is in such a state.
-
Nice man! Really nice camera work and editing. Wish they had actually left these hidden!
-
Only reason i do anything in des2...graphics. but i still like the D1 stuff better.
-
Great video! Makes me want to check all the lost sectors out!
-
I guess I can give lost sectors credit for having “token/loot caves” somewhat. Wish they had more meaning.

Bearbeitet von GrayWulf25: 3/23/2018 10:30:56 AMGreat video. Many Lost Sectors and much of the scenery in the new worlds and EDZ is beautiful. It's just a shame they couldn't integrate them fully into the grind to max level so that everyone had an incentive to experience them all, with the possibility of special loot

SO MUCH WASTED WORK -blam!- everyone on bungies higher ups that RUINED the beautiful work of all these artists!!! How hard would it have bern to lock cool EXCLUSIVE stuff behind that chests? -blam!- OFF !! now its wasted space :,(

GREAT VIDEO! I loved it! Forgotten, yet beautiful. I like that. It seems very true of this game and community. Hard times are upon us and for the most part, people have forgotten us. Yet many of us still here are still helping to keep the echos of what this place once was alive. Which is what you have done with this stuff! KEEP IT UP! :D

Great video! Your link to vote is broken though
