I'm here wondering the same thing. I noticed that sometimes when I click the deactivated engram, it lists items that are NOT in my Collection, as being in my Collection.
I don't have Prometheus lens, for example, but I keep getting duplicates of other exotic weapons.

... I definitely do NOT have Prometheus Lens, in my collection or anywhere else.
... so um... what do I do? Any suggestions for how I would GET Prometheus Lens?

Getting an Exotic Engram whilst 3 of Coins is active does not mean you got it from Xur You have to buy a Fated Engram from Xur for 97 Legendary Marks. You can only buy 1 per week. It guarantees to give you an Exotic not in your Collection. But if you are only missing a Titan chest, don't buy it on a Hunter They work
