I have a Sparrow that has an Air Control perk. Is it only used to do flips, or can it help you turn your sparrow better in air?

The Sparrows were all nerfed from D1. No more stunt riding and for some odd reason... when the tower was destroyed, so were all the sparrow horns.

It allows you to pitch forward or back, to ground your sparrow faster or float for more distance. Think of SRL armor in D1.

Try going over a jump (preferably one with lots of air time) and press up and down on the left thumb stick or the movement keypad. If you press down/move backward then the Sparrow tilts backward and you descend less rapidly. If you press up, then the Sparrow will tilt forward and you will descend rapidly, like a nosedive. It helped with keeping momentum over jumps in D1 SRL. Shaves milliseconds off time. The trick is knowing when you need more lift and when you need to get back on the ground. A good place to practice how it feels is during the new Curse of Osiris “Tree of Probabilities” strike. Hope this helps.

Pulling back on the joystick will give you more airtime. Pushing forward gives you less airtime.

It gives you more control in the air

Purely cosmetic like evrything else built in a system that has made it easier to update.

In SRL, Sparrow controls are used for air maneuvers and regaining ground control. Some SRL gear recharged the controls. On some SRL courses, air maneuvering was required to avoid gates, blades, and death. Also used to score points by hitting ground targets and acceleration gates. Outside of SRL, totally useless. Like everything else, useless. Looks pretty though...

You know when you boost left or right? You go 20% Further than if you didn't have the perk, only while Airborne. It's really useless until SRL returns and Sparrows get an Overhaul, [b][i][u]AGAIN.[/u][/i][/b]
