Hey there,
A few questions. Are you playing on the same xbox live account that you played with on xbox 360?
If you are, have you ever logged your xbox live account into an xbox one before this? The import process is a one time deal. If at one point you had logged into Destiny one xbox one (a friend’s console for example), you will not be able to import your current characters from xbox 360.

Hello, I played Destiny 1 on Xbox 360 and have all of my progress on that account. I want to transfer all of my progress that I achieved on that Xbox 360 to my Xbox 1. Is that possible? Can I still transfer my characters and all of my progress to my Xbox 1 if I buy a new disc for the Xbox 1? Thank you

Unfortunately this is no longer possible. Progress is no longer shared between legacy consoles and current generation consoles.

Alright thank you, is there anything I can do to access that character other than play my old Xbox 360? Could I contact Microsoft and get anything done or no? And why is it that Bungie would not be able to remember my old Guardian and transfer my progress to my Xbox 1?

The only way would be to play your character on Xbox 360.

Yes it's the same xbox live account, Kellogs I think this may be the problem I Iogged into my dad's xbox one after he got his. and this was before i started playing destiny 1 on my 360. I really hate how this is set up!!

Yep, that'd be why; the moment you logged into the Xbox One before playing on the 360, your characters were set. Nothing you did on 360 after that would transfer over.
