Please note that Destiny - The Taken King - Collector's Edition would have had codes in it for use for any of the extra benefits. If the codes weren't entered and accepted, then the special things wouldn't be given.
Also note that the 'class package' wasn't anything special, it was given simply for owning The Taken King; it wasn't bundled in with anything special, so saying you didn't receive it is entirely separate from the Collector's Edition. Also note there was nothing titled "Special Edition".
All of the above being said, if there's an issue with your purchase of the game or gamesharing, then you need to speak to your console manufacturer (concerning gamesharing) or the retailer (concerning missing codes). None of the above is Bungie-related.

I don’t wish to create an argument on this topic but when I attempted to do the mars mission to start taken king, it said “requires taken king” so I clicked to get to the in game manue and it had 3 options to choose from, 1. Cancel or something along those lines. 2. Buy taken king, and 3. Buy taken king collectors or special edition, whichever it was. And under the special edition it said in fine print that I would receive 3 class shaders, 3 exotic class items, and 3 class emotes. None of which I have received. Another thing I was confused about is, before I bought the taken king, there was already a level 25 character boost “spark of light” in the postmaster. And I don’t know how or why. It was just there and as long as I can remember the spark of light was supposed to come with the taken king. I just want what it said it would give me but if that’s not gonna happen oh well. He’s only 11 and at least he has DLC to play on.
