As a Halfdan-D main, I’ve been waiting for 2 months nearly to get my hands on its sister weapon... first seeing it’s Attachments on Destiny Tracker made me a little excited to see a stability buff and a high zoom scope... and then high impact reserves killed my hopes a little for a decent perk on this frame... and then I noticed its base stats were lower than the Halfdan-D... worse base range by 5 points... ok I guess to balance the scope range bonus... Worse base stability by 5 points... ok bungee what the hell man... I guess to balance the more stability from the ricochet rounds!? Worse base handling by 5 points... well I guess this weapon is just statistically inferior in its base model than the Halfdan... So basically it handles like a truck due to the handling negatives of the LC ranged scope that’s the only difference to the Halfdan... and has no better stability than it with it’s perkset...and no better range than the Halfdan with all the range stuff on it. The only outlier this weapon has after all that is High Impact reserves, which doesn’t even give a noticeable difference in damage “3%-6% starting from about half mag and only getting better at the last 3 bullets) The rifle speaks for itself. “I am an inferior weapon.” Edit: After further testing, it has better range and stability typically than the Halfdan-D... but the LC ranged reticle makes it difficult to have pin point accuracy (a trait shared with the thermal sight) Also has an extra magazine (kinda nice considering you should try to empty the whole mag at a time with that perk) I suppose my initial rage was more of bias from having most of the other frames with great perk and attachment sets, while the High Impact frames across the board have little go to perks and attachments... Still hoping to see a (I hate the thought but would love to see one, haven't been able to participate in Tryhards of the Nine) Trials variant or raid variant with 2 perks and the ability to have one of the recoil control barrels... and would literally go full tilt if you added one with a nerfed explosive payload or regular timed payload... but to be honest, since this weapon type is unique I'd rather have a neat variant that's DLC based like the 10 Curse of Osirus crafted weapons... with a literal ton of stuff to grind for it... heck having an exotic with a while bunch of steps would be great so I could really call it my own...(problem is everyone would have my baby too :( ) Anyways, sorry to be a negative Nancy, just wish I didn't have to nit pick over small differences in stats fighting for a small advantage to make this weapon type better.
