I’d like to go against the grain a little and thank you for The Dawning. After a couple of weeks of playing D2 I had recognised it was a shallow imitation of it’s predecessor and yet I kept playing, the variety of weapons and armour was woeful, the exotics in general were a disappointment, levelling up the enemies as I levelled up meant that I never felt powerful, all this I saw and yet I kept playing. I tried a few other games but kept playing D2. Then came The Dawning. It was such a shameless cash grab, so obviously only there to extract a little more profit for you from a community who had only recently bought a distinctly undernourished DLC, that finally I was able to put the game behind me. I took the advice of one or two players on these forums and downloaded Warframe. I’m pleased to say I haven’t looked back (well apart from this post of course, call it a Parthian shot). It has been so nice to play a game with genuine complexity after D2. I’ll probably look in over the next few months to see if you’ve managed anything more than bandaids for your game’s issues but otherwise I’m done.
