Player Feedback: The Dawning

Hello all, Since the Dawning went live, we've been watching the conversation and recording your feedback. I'd like to give a short list of items that have been noted.     You guys at Bungie made a deliberate, insidious move with D2 only with two main objectives in mind: - making it a casual FPS to increase your player base; - balancing PvP by toning down and scraping almost everything that made Destiny what it was at his core; What did you achieve with that? None of the goals you were pursuing. The player base is decreasing because casual players do what they always do, they play the campaign, a few of other modes here and there and move on. And because of the abysmal nerf and scraps you made to all the fundamental systems of the game, the core players are abandoning D2 as well. On PvP side almost everyone says that the new gameplay is boring, has no excitement at all and the number of people that still play it is getting as low as it has ever been. Just look at Trials numbers. In the end, all that Bungie achieved with D2 was making money by betraying all their player base that trusted that you guys would build D2 upon the refinement that was achieved over the last 3 years with D1. Yes, you played the deception card and you won, congratulations. But by doing so you also showed your true colors to your community and the future looks grim for your company, as far as I'm concerned. The only way you can minimize (not repair) the enormous hole you made in your own reputation as a developer, is: - completely scrap the core conception of D2 and return to D1 core design as in year 3 AoT period; - separate PvE and PvP balance. Create specific gear for PvP that can only be [b][u]earned and used[/u][/b] in that game mode and [u]block all PvE gear for being used in PvP[/u]; Anything less than that will only be like trying to put down a huge fire with glasses of water. It won't work.
