Seems to me that Destiny 2 is a rushed dumbed down version of Destiny 1.
Far less player customization for skill tress.
No Rumble or 6v6 and we only can chose from quickplay or competitive
No Private Matches
Every gun has same exact perks. No random perks.
Recovery is only stat that matters
No strike exclusive loot
We turn in tokens for rewards and end up deleting every single thing we get after a month of playing
Masterworks give you such a minuscule bump in stats on weapons. It does help in pve with supers though.
End game raid and trials gear rewards you with cosmetics. Raid and trials armor is equal to every other armor.
I could go on...
3 years of collecting data from primary, special, heavy ammo set up was just thrown out the window to implement a new 2 primary 1 power ammo set up with limited testing and player feedback. After 3 years you devs couldn’t figure out the best way to balance it? Changes were made over n over and I thought at the end of Destiny 1 u guys got it right.
But this new Destiny 2 set up is by far the biggest fail in my opinion. Why have Rockets, Snipers, Shotguns, Fusions, Linear Fusions, Grenade Launchers, and Swords all in one slot? Thats 7 different weapons to chose from on 1 slot.
Raising TTK, lowering Grenade n Melee abilities recharge rate n damage, lowering recovery as well as speed n maneuverability really made PvP far less exciting. On top of that it’s all 4v4. It’s just not rewarding enough cause it’s all teamplay 100% of the time almost. It’s so tough to clutch a round or wipe a team by yourself. The “Huge Plays” don’t happen much at all.
The replayability is gone too. Nothing to grind for at all, since rewards are the same and nothing unique. Masterworks didn’t do much to me.
Why get rid of so many things Destiny 1 had that tons of players liked?
It’s like I’m playing Destiny .5 instead of Destiny 2.
Still love Destiny but it’s such a huge disappointment.
What the hell happened?
My guess is you guys were rushed but why change so many things that we perfect?
Why implement new 2 primary 1 power weapon with little testing or feedback? Especially when you devs had 3 years of collecting data on 1 primary, 1 special, 1 heavy load out?

No where near as many features n rewards and PvP is so underwhelming and not exciting. They took all the high risk high reward gameplay out n replaced it with 100 team oriented. When u do get heavy n wreck the team it’s not rewarding to get kills with 1 hit weapons vs weak primary weapons n abilities.

Yea it’s fun to me...but not nearly as fun as Destiny 1...crazy how Destiny 2 feels like Destiny .5

I believe now that Bungie brass wanted to create a game that rewarded players who didn’t have the time to grind like a lot of players did in D1. They succeeded in making a game that was just that, a participation trophey giving, everything balanced (read boring), dress up game. It’s every similar to a mobile game now imo. All I know is that for me and 90% of my clan, this game is a huge step backwards. Many of the changes you referenced were made for the simple reason of making the game accessible to the masses. Bungie banked on D1 vets buying the sequel, and they marketed the fuq outta D2. Many got on the hype train. Sadly, most vets and newcomers are now put off by this shill of a game. I for one am a salty dog. I was really looking forward to playing D2, being that I put over 3000 hours into D1.
