It's really not rocket science. You took a whole bunch of stuff out of D1 and sold it back to us. You'll bring all of the stuff back, but you'll make us pay for it through dlc. You're not building on a great game to make an epic franchise, you're just nickel and diming your fan base because you're following a model to maximize profit. The changes you made to the game are just baffling. 2 primary system, no perk roles on weapons, no strike specific loot, no customization, etc. etc. you took a decent rpg looter shooter and turned it into a terrible first person shooter with zero heart or imagination. You thought that catering to casuals would make you more money, so that's the direction you went. The problem is that your casuals have done what they do best - they moved on. Now you're left with a group of pissed off D1 fans who have zero faith in you, most of which would rather watch this franchise burn than to see the game improve. Why? Because you took something they loved away and replaced it with corporate greed.

In Destiny 1 the Dawning was something I looked forward to doing every day but the Dawning in D2 was an absolute joke and reminded me a little too much of the Festival of the Lost in 2016

Destiny 2 was designed to be a cash grab nothing more. Destiny 1 offered earnable sparrows shaders and ships that could be stored they wanted to sell them over and over again. That is why getting a sparrow with an decent quick spawning perk is so hard they want you to have to buy dozens. It is why they don't want to expand inventory they don't want you to have room to store things they want you to delete it regret it and buy it again. This game is a predatory abomination designed to target people with compulsory issues and empty their wallets ideally children or adults with the minds of children. It was made with no content on purpose and made lazy because they were trying to target the "casual" user as they called them but the reality is they were trying to target the low iq user who wants everything right now and will pay to get it right away. This is why sprinting through strikes is a thing in this game. Those are the target players the impatient and illogical. They tried to base most of the games replayable content on pvp which in this game is entirely fake giving a win loss win loss scenario every time. When things were not going the way the greedmongering assholes at bungie wanted them to go they increased xp per level destroyed rewards for public events lowered exotic drop rates then offered a 3 of coins item that puts drop rates right back to where they were before they nerfed it. This entire game is designed to push out the majority of the old player base (they already got our money) and cater only to impulsive fool they want to sell things to. They don't truthfully answer you because they don't care about you as i said they got your money now they just want you to -blam!- off until the next season pass. Where they will make all kinds of promises say they cleaned up their act learned from their mistakes then -blam!- you again. In d1 we knew we were overpaying for the add on content but it was "ok" this was a 10 year investment into an mmo where the content would keep growing and there would be more and more to do. This is not the case for anyone who does not understand why people are pissed this is why. (It's too hard to make new content) then why the -blam!- did you make d2 a stand alone game then you jackasses! (for anyone who doesn't know see first paragraph again) In all honesty BUNGIE DESERVES to be shut down and die. Their greed is their greed can not be blamed on activision this time. For the poor team this disaster will be pawned off on i feel very sorry for you and you have a massive uphill battle infront of you good luck.

My biggest regret was getting the season pass. Others, like myself are likely playing it out until the last "DLC" drops then to quote The Who, "We won't be fooled again". If you think player retention is an issue now brace yourself for the exodus that will occur after the season pass requirements are met and you have to come hat in hand asking for the purchase of another DLC.

Bungie no longer cares about the players, let alone putting them first. Their only priority is finding ways to to price gouge the player base, not putting out great content that will keep us interested in the game. Leave Destiny, leave bungie. Money is the only language they speak. So we need to speak it louder and better than they do.

What I can't believe is you shit on your own success from d1 to build an over balanced piece of crap and act like it can hold a candle to d1 the weapon system bad the guns are completely under powered the the adds are bullet sponges the supers and the grenades suck besides the vortex and the pulse the rocket launchers don't have tracking and the pvp sucks worse than d1 lag and your better internet towards d2 was the biggest lie of all why want you bare down and go with dedicated servers the original game was suppose to be a ten year game with ten years of expansions. is it because the one guy that wrote the story is the only one that can comprehend what he built or is it you can't swallow your pride to say hey man we need you your intelligence you were one of the best writers ever. I don't know what y'all plan on doing but this over balance for pvp is killing the pve at the same time what happend to machine guns what or y'all doing to make this game whole again give a planet on the map that brings us back to d1 implement the old weapon system gives us the exotics that were bad ass there not one exotic in d2 that I can say man that gun bad ass

I'm not sure this'll get noticed amid all the hateposting, but since you seek Dawning feedback? Yeah, I liked it. SRL would have been preferable, but that takes time. The gift quests were surprisingly fun, as were the snowballs. The scenery and music were great. And, it was nice to have Mayhem back, I hope it returns every now and then. The holiday items were cool, and many of them will remain in use by me after the Dawning. It would have been nice to be able to have more of them, but I do not and will not purchase RNG lootboxes.
