Contact whoever you bought game from to find out their policy on refunds.

Did so. Unfortunately I purchased the digital version through PSN, and the reps simply repeat the timed-return policy. I understand the timing issue, but this is of a different variety. The developer has literally removed my access to features of the game I paid for and placed those activities/trophies behind a DLC paywall.

And the accepted EULA gives them that ability. Been that way for 3+ years now. So either 1) there has been legal precedent to allow it, or 2) if it’s gone through due process, a judge has ruled it legal.

Fair point. Still quite underhanded to limit access to content I paid for. I understand now that the ToS allows for it but really expected better of them than to take away content I had already paid for.

Unfortunately, it’s always been like that...not just in Destiny but other games as well. Not saying it’s right/wrong/fair/unfair, but it is what it is.
