I was excited when I heard there would be new 'quests' to forge new weapons in the new DLC, but these 'quests' are not quests at all. This is just a convoluted way to buy weapons from Brother Vance. Instead of just having Brother Vance sell you the gun directly for 3 items, the 'quest' involves picking up a verse, going into your menu and consuming 3 items to charge the verse, taking that to the forge and getting your gun. That's not a quest! It's just extra steps you have to take instead of giving the materials directly to Brother Vance. Weither Brother Vance sells you the gun or you do this 'quest' the end result is the same: go to Brother Vance, give up 3 items, get gun. There's no quest here! Just a material exchange with more steps! I'm not complaining about the length of the 'quest', I'm saying there is no quest. A quest would be: Go to Brother Vance He sends you to do a strike to kill a specific emeny to get a weapon frame Return to Brother Vance He sends you to hunt down a weapon core Return to Brother Vance He tells you to take the frame, core, and a sacrificial legendary weapon to the forge to forge your new gun. That's a quest! ....OR..... at the very, very least you pick up the quest from Brother Vance and then he sends you to complete a public event then two strikes, then after you've completed that you go to the forge and get your gun. That's a quest! But as it stands there is no quest. The 'quest' is doing the hokey-pokey with your 3 materials instead of giving them directy to Brother Vance to buy the gun.
