Lower the time to kill? More than it is?
You mean bump up the time to kill? Make kills not to quick but just right so you can get into more 1v1 engagements easier?
Edit: I was saying it backwards. My bad, Yes I agree with you 100%

A lower TTK means it take less time to kill people. A higher TTK means it takes longer.

No increasing the TTK like they have in D2 had lead to less 1v1's. They need lower it.
sounds wrong, for an online shooter....
And there is the problem right there! Destiny is not your typical online shooter! Or at least the original Destiny wasn't. And D2 has lost most if not all the magic that made the original game unique and fun! Yes it looked like a FPS game but it was also a Space Aged MMO, RPG with a RNG loot shooter twist, where we killed gods with space magic and had to out play fellow guardians with skill! It had variety in not only the way we killed shit but how we played the game. Team oriented game play was deadly but there was also the chance that a good lone wolf could save the day. Different activities actually required a different mentality. 3v3 was different to 6v6, Skirmish was different to Trials. There were modes where team work ruled but there were also places where solo players could do there own thing and thrive. In D2 we are shoe horned into this 'team work' meta crap for everything crucible oriented. And the slap in the face is they haven't done it because it requires more skill. It was done to appeal to the more casual player so they didn't get as intimidated. The people who took time to master the chaos of D1 crucible have to put up with this slow peek a boo play style so casual Joe can rely on the team mate stood next to him to get the kill. Destiny's slogan was "Become legend" not "Hold hands with teammates" which is basically what you must do in D2 to do well.

TTK is longer in D2 and there's more flinch.
