This game is on a decline. Ranked pvp and dedicated servers are the norm. PvE offers little incentive to cope.

The game feels a little dated. It is a visually stunning game on pc, but the p2p server structure is something of the past, a sub 60 tick rate is just not fun anymore. Without meaningful PvE incentive, people fall back on PvP, and unfortunately it is lacking. No ranking in a age where all fps have ranked play, is a tough pill to swallow. Instead of trying to make the population get better you guys piled on the heaviest aim assist I have ever seen on a console game, doubled down on in air accuracy penalties, added bloom, and tried to make everyone "Feel good." This is a bad trend, as no one tries to improve unless you show them they need to. The twitch numbers are the lowest I have seen in a long while. I still play this game everyday, but my friends abandoned the game to play overwatch, fortnite, and pubg. Fortnite is adding ranked, and console destiny is already on the ropes... Please Bungie... I bought the game on 2 platforms, and want it to succeed so bad. Edit: The reason I bought it on 2 platforms because I want it to succeed, and I have a different set of friends on each platform. Seeing this game is trash post sucks. I feel that it is not constructive. I have edited my post several times to try and cut all the anger out, and let the disappointment show through. You guys should chill, a lot of time went into this game. Also Fps =/= tick rate.

 •
p2p server structure is something of the past
I've been screaming this for years. Plus any idiot with wireshark can exploit this system.
Also Fps =/= tick rate
Most of the forum users aren't smart enough to understand this. I know when you say tick rate you are referring to serve/client updates. But since Bungie is using P2P at usually 40hz update... ya know... can't happen. I play on PS4 and PC and I think the game is good. It addresses MANY of my concerns with Destiny 1, and it addresses them very very well. It just does so many things right. In Destiny 1 the majority of the Exotic Collection game was locked behind activities that required preformed teams (Nightfall/Raid Mostly Raid) Destiny 2 introduces the players to that experience sooner, and in turn makes them seek out activities that have higher chances of rewarding exotics.... or... activities that required preformed teams. Which is a WONDERFUL design, however if fell flat with meh rewards. The rewards aren't bad from the raid and stuff, they just aren't great. Destiny 1 has a serious problem with entirely too many OHK opportunities in PvP, as well as primary weapons being completely useless. (due to killing 33% slower than all other weapons in all other slots except Fusion Rifles which explains their 1-2% use rating) Destiny 2 is exceptionally balanced in PvP. I still believe that the average TTK is entirely too slow among primary/energy weapons, BUT they dominate the crucible now. The focus on team play is also really nice. When I lose an engagement I at least can understand why now. I had humane design concerns about Destiny 1 Destiny 2 fixed a lot of that as well. Fixed rolls is a good change. Because random rolls was created to waste the player's time and artificially extend the game. Xur may be useless for most high level players, but he brings a weapon every week if you need to round out that collection. Dividing up the loot pool among vendors. So if you're looking for 1 specific weapon, you can just grind that vendor's rep until you get it. Lot's of positive changes here. I'll address 2 of the most common complaints. 1. Destiny doesn't have 1400 hours of content on release day. Duh, no AAA publisher is going to give you that for $60. You can only blame yourself. 2.Rewards suck (no random rolls, etc) I agree that the endgame can be more rewarding, but Destiny 2 has taken a step back from some of the shitty skinner box tactics that artificially extends the game by intentionally wasting player's time. By taking this step back from those tactics Bungie is saying..... "You know... If our game is good enough, we don't need these systems in the game. Players will stick around without this junk" You forum haters can talk all the trash you want, but when a Development studio makes a decision like that. I'm going to stick with them, WE AS GAMERS NEED MORE OF THAT. We need less skinner box, more compelling game play. Bungie APPEARS, nothing is certain here, to be trying.
