I agree wholeheartedly to almost everything

Some of this is true and should be looked at

Little to none of this is an issue to me

I want to start by saying thank you for trying. Thank you for trying to listen to the community after Destiny 1. Destiny 1 was far from the perfect game, but it enthralled us with a universe so enticing and full of potential that I still have difficulty writing a letter as harsh as this. So trust me when I say I know you can do better. I have just capped out on my faction rewards and it has pushed me to the point of writing a scathing review of Destiny 2. No-one will ever make the changes I put forward, but I need it to be known that I, a purchaser of MULTIPLE copies of Destiny and Destiny 2 feel that this series is not worth my time or money anymore. Here are some of my thoughts: The Faction Rally: Firstly I need to address the fact that I CAPPED OUT on rewards for playing during an event. Why would this be implemented? It makes me feels like you want me to stop playing. The only thing that would make me put a cap on something as trivial as a shoehorned Faction Rally is if there was an actual player to player economy so as not to over-saturate the market with sellers selling a desirable weapon. But since there is no way to obtain the faction items outside of RNG, that is not the case. The game was recently described by one of your devs as a "collecting game". The fact that I now cannot receive the Guiding Star auto rifle because of luck and an arbitrary cap on rewards means I have absolutely no reason to play the faction rally anymore, Hence why I have sacrificed my morning of play time before work to write a complaint letter that no-one will ever read. It literally feels more productive than playing Destiny 2 at this point. On top of everything I just said, the faction rally just isn't very fun. Its no wonder that 90% of the community needs to find a way to get it over with as fast as possible with a glitch rather than do the events that it comes with. The Raid: As stated earlier, one of the devs said this was a collecting game. So as I have nothing else to do, I have been trying to collect as many of the items in the game as possible. Unfortunately even after running the raid around 7 times I am still missing the sword, handcannon and sniper. All of my friends have moved on to the point of never wanting to raid, and while guided games is a good idea for those new to the raid experience, the fact that it has no quality control option (Raids completed, Par completion time, Power level) means that for someone wanting to finish it with purpose it is simply a waste of time. So as a result I have not raided in weeks, even though I want to. Destiny LFG has communication, but not quality control. Cant tell you how many times Ive been lied to for a carry through the raid in D1. Have had some good experiences too, but bad outweigh the good. Left a bad taste. In game matchmaking has potential to skip the 3rd party crap and just introduce decent search options. You have already laid the framework for a top notch Raid matchmaking system. Just make it a little more desireable to use. If you're worried about the spirit of guided games being lost, dont fret because it will still function. If you choose to accept people who have never done the raid before and successfully complete the raid youll still get your exclusive rewards for helping people. Just make those rewards more tangible so more people feel like doing it. (Extra raid/nightfall tokens would be nice) The Gunsmith: The only thing keeping the gunsmith relevant to me is the fact that he's voiced by John DiMaggio. I am absolutely SWIMMING in mods at this point and as this game is only a collecting game, I have been trying since the launch of Destiny 2 to receive an Atheflaad-D from him to no avail. Why not have a system the player wants to work towards, but more importantly works for the player? What if you could pick up dailies that awarded you foundry specific weapon parts? (Omolon, Hakke, Suros, etc.) And what if Banshee had a rotating inventory of blueprints for weapons that changed daily? For example the blueprint for my elusive Atheflaad-D for example would cost around 10k Glimmer, and would be craftable at Banshee if I brought him 75 Weapon parts and 25 Hakke Weapon Parts. Or if you're feeling lucky, you could still just turn in the 25 parts and get one of the 50 weapons hes got in his drop table. A great thing about this system is that it works not just for banshee, but for every single vendor in the game. Any given vendor in the game could have blueprints of weapons from their drop table for sale. Blueprints could be purchased with the Planet Tokens, Strike Tokens, PvP Tokens, maybe even Raid Tokens. (Although I feel it should be much more costly to craft raid gear). But whats even more beautiful than that, is you can make the process as fast or slow as possible and it will be praised by every player in the community. You could make it take 5 whole days of doing dailies just so you can get that Veist weapon you've been really wanting, but since you can actually see that you are progressing at a rate of 20% per day, as the player, you know you're not wasting your time. PvP: Okay, I will be the first to admit that I was ecstatic when I heard about the changes to PvP pre-launch. I thought there was no way PvP could get less fun than a Felwinters Lie meta. Wow do I hate being proven wrong. I feel absolutely useless in this build of PvP. As a warlock main, I love blink. It has always allowed me to be a super fast and aggressive flanking attacker, however you cannot flank when the game's meta is to stand in a group and teamshot the first thing that appears on radar. (Which is always active, courtesy of MIDA [Thanks for handing that gun to literally everyone by the way]) Ok so I guess the question going into that scenario is: "How do I win a 1v3 or a 1v4 without a super?" Simple, with a grenade of course. Oh wait, you used your vortex grenade in an equally pivotal moment 45 seconds ago to lock down Zone B from being captured, and its STILL not up. That's okay, I guess I'll just go sit with my team with MIDA so I don't feed the other team. To be clear, I will not wait until Destiny 3 for thus to be resolved. I will have quit long before then. Okay so here's a rapid fire part where I just list things that are just asinine about crucible. 1. Stickies shouldn't be on a minute+ cooldown AND not be a one shot kill. It should only be one or the other. 2. Similarly to point 1, A shoulder charge shouldn't be tied to a melee cooldown AND not be a one shot kill. Its just too weak to justify using. 3. Grenade launchers need to one shot a little more consistently. If you can deal with the arc of the grenade and be able to land it right at someones feet, you should be rewarded for using it over something like Wardcliff Coil, that reward is the better ammo economy with a 1 shot/1 kill potential. 4. Sniper should be the pinnacle of the skill cap when it comes to heavy weapons. 6 shots/6 potential kills. However, snipers absolutely suck in a meta where everyone's already looking down your sniper lane with MIDA, instantly throwing off your shots by plinking you from sniper range. I'm not usually a sniper user so I cannot say for sure what the best solution is, but I do have some ideas. Maybe the Super High impact snipers only get 2 shots per heavy ammo brick, but have body shot potential. Maybe the lighter snipers have faster movement while ADS so you can outmaneuver an enemy scout user. I leave that up to the community, but do SOMETHING. Snipers aren't good enough. Maybe when the meta changes a bit, they'll find their place. And for the love of god, get rid of the scope reticle sway when moving while ADS. Okay, that's all the time I have this morning. Gotta go to work now. I'm sure I could probably think of at least like 4 other gripes most of the community has but, eh, lets just see if this goes anywhere first. I don't expect this to go anywhere, but I figured I'd give it a shot, considering my commitment to this franchise may very well hang in the balance. I want to want to play destiny. I want to have FUN playing destiny. You guys aren't making it very easy for me. <3 Alter Requiem

PC player here who missed D1 due to ignoring my gaming platform. I was really hyped for a high production value borderlands type loot farming game with FPS combat and RPG elements. I see the FPS combat (its really easy but fun imo) The game seems to miss online interactions, decent loot options, RPG elements.... Even the public events get dry after a few hours of seeing the same event over and over....older PC games did the public events things better... I dont see a reason to grind or really play long term... Why do they have classes when the one skill that defines the class (other than cosmetic outfit) can only be used sparingly? The guns have decent itemization and effects but thats it, the armor seem to be just an ambiguous number that i want to be the highest possible, sure add an effect that helps my skill i hardly use work better....i guess thats fun... Give me stuff to farm, give me character building options that have real effect on how my character performs...give me a group role beyond "i shoot and either do more damage or have a wall to hide behind"....i mean really....a wall? whooa so exciting....ill ignore this ground object i can hide behind and use that! To top it off...theres all these people i cant communicate with...so theres no community in the game despite people everywhere....how did that even become a thing? Core mechanics and production value are fantasic, knowing what i know now id have waited for the core game to be on sale though, and tbh im not really into FPS shooters, which is all this is....id probably have skipped it if i had known....not that im salty over my purchase...just dissapointed with how shallow the game is, and how its missing the best parts of a mmo loot farming RPG with fps combat.....at this point im just playing it to justify the purchase... I mean i look at Warframe, a game i have thousands of hours in, and is free....im running around doing all sorts of crazy shit....all sorts of skills i use frequently, i feel the class differences immediately. Here i feel like i shoot a gun and occasionally do something sort of interesting....how did bungie get everything beyond production value and gunplay so....ameture?
