I'm just another concerned customer. And would love to see destiny return to its peak.
We need a return to game play and core features like that of taken king
-
Lol HoW was much better. Ttk chased more away from the game.
-
That's a funny way to spell House of Wolves
-
My favorite was day one destiny, before the dlc. Gave me a reason the really grind and get what i want. Its what i miss the most. And vog was my most favorite raid
-
The Destiny 1 BETA was the best time ever!
-
To be honest, dark below was my favorite. Think HoW was the start of the decline, and for everything TTK got right, it just cemented the accepted bare minimum that bungie gets away with now. Half assed story that doesn't even make any sense when it's over. I just want a satisfying experience, why is that so hard?
-
Don't you mean Age of Triumph?
-
I fall in with TTK too. Sidearms and swords, Sunbreaker, the LORE. I get what people say about earlier content not mattering, I had gear I wanted to keep viable but couldn’t. We got as good if not better gear in return. So that’s a win. A day one weapon really shouldn’t be expected to be viable until midpoint much less to the end. (Even though said gear was still viable in pvp......)
-
TTK got old quick... You might night have been around, but remember when you lost light when you infused something. I ended up using the same couple of weapons for months. Don't get me wrong there was a lot of kewl stuff to do like getting the TOM and black spindle, etc. Once people quit playing they made alot of improvements. I personally took off about 6 months around the time the HM KF dropped. When I came back I really enjoyed the game again.

I'd give anything to replay that entire DLC. Relive it. Back in 2015 I had FIFA15, arguably the best FIFA to date. I had Destiny Taken King. I had GTA. I was off work and had all day to just melt into Destiny for hours on end. I'm a droopy nostalgic -blam!- who can't let go of the past. But you can't blame me, TTK was superb and the game only got better. You may argue HoW but that didn't add significant content and the PVP was just as stale. Thorn/TLW or nothing. It was shite. No skill. I'm a PVE player mainly so maybe I'm a little biased. But damn. I have great memories of that era. I don't enjoy the Hive or Taken, but that Dreadnaught is a time capsule. Luke Smith was right, it was a loot filled fortress and if it wasn't for The Dreadnaught, I wouldn't have had some of the best weapons I've ever used in any game. Damn. Getting all soppy now☹️

I stopped grinding the raids when they stopped dropping elemental primaries. The new weapon system in D2 only exasperated how quickly I grew tired of the game. People wanted elemental primaries back, but I don't know anyone who asked for elemental primaries in place of special weapons. The only logical reason that there is for changing up the weapon system is to add artificial difficulty, and all that it's accomplished is to make the encounters take longer and be more tedious. The change definitely wasn't made to make the game "more fun". After the campaign wraps up, nothing about this game is more fun than D1. Hopefully the developers making Anthem don't crap the bed, because D2 is so bad that I don't see any way that Bungie can fix all that is wrong with it before that game is scheduled to drop, so that's probably the best hope for people looking for an MMO type looter / shooter that doesn't suck in the near future.

Bearbeitet von TiiDDii: 10/22/2017 5:19:06 AMNaw fam, House of Wolves. Everyone was aggressive and we all felt powerful, just adjust thorn, last word, body shot spear, felwinters sniper+blink combo we would've been fantastic!!! D1>D2

I agree! TAKEN TOTS UNITE ! ! !
-
TTK introduced all the good new things. It didn't implement them properly until the last DLC
-
HoW was my favourite

Bearbeitet von BagsOnBaggins: 10/22/2017 2:48:16 AMHOW made me quit destiny until TTK. As a raider, prison of elders was not very fun to play consistently. Once I got my ethereal light or whatever it was to upgrade my fatebringer and gally i was done.

The TTK raid was the second best right next to VoG!

Rise of Iron

Bearbeitet von Smith5084: 10/22/2017 4:15:05 AMThey've definitely snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when it comes to D2. I'm absolutely dumbfounded at how a company fresh off of a wildly successful looter / shooter game chose to make a sequel completely devoid of any meaningful high level end game loot to be obtained through the raid and Trials. I hate to call anyone a dumbass, but what dumbass thought that a hard mode raid that doesn't increase level, and only drops reskinned normal mode rewards with no discernible advantage would be well received by the community? Who is going to run the hard mode raid every week with the only newly obtainable rewards being emblems and cosmetic items?

Bearbeitet von Vulcan_Blitz: 10/22/2017 2:23:02 AMHouse of wolf, Taken King and Rise of Iron. HoW, for the Skolas saga quest line and campaign, Petra and Variks voice lines, special public events featuring the wolves were all guardians in that patrol area helping each other to fight wolves, find treasure chest then all would sparrow race out area and back for a double dipping the rewards (haha), Queen's breaker was awesome and the Lord of wolves was interesting and Trials of Osiris brought out the worst in many guardians. weapons feel strong. Prison of Elders introduce many different mechanics to a boss fight with each weekly boss have their own attack and weakpoint. Mystery of the nines. TTK, had very interesting story lines, deep lore about the hive, book of sorrows, annoying taken psions that keeps on multiplying but so much satisfaction when popping their head with firefly and taken phalanx that always shield blast you off the platform in to a death zone. Cayde and Eris was also very interesting (sorry about your ship Eris and thanks for pulling me out while getting attack by hundreds of taken thralls after stealing Crota essence. Oh swords and exotic swords. special strike loots. Kings fall was good. Raid gears and guns had great design, specially those harrowed sets. RoI, Those nanomites, owl sec, Iron temple, Siva, Saladin sexy voice. Shiro, Archons forge was fun like being in an arcade until you ran out of offering (haha), Saladin's vigils, But not forgotten. Iron Banner cool rewards design, Trials of Osiris also have new nice gears and guns set for players to hope chase after. Raid exotic quest, hidden monitors, 4th monitor puzzle. Plague land patrols, public events rewards, feel sorry for that hive ogre. Iron lords sad stories. Being Saladin's young wolf and promoted to an Iron lord and lady Efrideet! D1 wasn't perfect, it was broken in some place, missing a few pieces, imbalance but it was fun keep me play almost everyday. Seeing players, like Sc slayerage, Esoterickk, Gladd, Cruelty and many others being able to accomplish the unthinkable also gives the drive to try and follow. Chasing after that dream Eyasluna or Fakebringer (Imago Loop) gives you hope. Turning in stuff and rank up vendor just to get 1 light stronger so you can go back punch that yellow bar or ??? in the face and watch them disintegrate feels awesome. Out gunning some one using The last word or Thorn gives you that unexplainable satisfaction.

Age of Triumph was the best era. The Endgame for the Taken King was such a downgrade from House of Wolves that it pissed me off.
-
Maybe for PvE Year 1 was best PvP. Everyone just used whay they wanted to, we had large maps even and the time to kill was great. Then came the unbalancing and now the almost call of duty time to kill. Im playing Halo now instead.
-
The Dark Below. Hands down best... Lol.
-
The Taken King was an uptick in story presentation, sure. And the most sizable batch of new content obviously. Endgame was trash though. After having finally had 2 Raids, PoE, Nightfalls, Trials, and Iron Banner all viable, they tossed half that in the trashhole again. And a Raid that boiled down to "Ya got one of these 3 snipers? Yeah, you win now." Any other gun type being basically invalid as actual contribution. With Raid weapons that would be the worst set of garbage if Leviathan hadn't upped the ante by just not even bothering to have a full set.

-
SMH at all the HoW upvotes - hordemode(PoE) was no substitute for a raid.
-
In terms of what was added to the game and how much it improved? Yes! But in terms of how good the game was, it was best in Age of Triumph (except perhaps the crucible, that was the most fun in vanilla).
