I'm just another concerned customer. And would love to see destiny return to its peak.
We need a return to game play and core features like that of taken king
-
Can we give D2 the same kind of timeline? Taken King was the 3rd DLC? That right there gives me hope that D2 will be fine.
-
I strongly disagree.
-
Rise of iron for pve
-
Nonsense, House of Wolves was the best.
-
Y2 is where D1 was best I agree. But at the same time, the end of D1 was amazing too. All raids were relevant
-
Yep taken king brought the first big changes for the better and addressed our complaints with The dark below and house of wolves.
-
The April update was my favorite time for pvp
-
House of Wolves era was my favourite. TTK, in my eyes, was the start of Destinys downfall. It's when exotics started feeling less exotic, we saw the death of the guns that made us feel powerful and everything become easier to get. Max levels were too easy to reach and meant a whole lot less.
-
The best era of destiny was when D1 just came out. V.o.G was greatest raid.
-
Bearbeitet von minonious: 10/22/2017 8:20:01 PMI think it was Age of Triumph, when all raids and content were at a relevant light level.. and the triumphant return of the gjallahorn, and it's better looking sister, the iron gjallahorn.
-
That dlc pretty much saved destiny.
-
HOW was king.
-
Bearbeitet von Flake: 10/22/2017 5:40:17 PMI'm not defending it, I loathe this game right now. But i think this community is full of hypocrites. Now are we glorifying D1? Lmao!. If I remember correctly year one veteran players complained about every single God dang thing that killed them in PvP, and dissed every time dlc came out for 3 whole years. Destiny 2 is the result of that, don't forget it.
-
Right as April update hit during the TTK, skill based matchmaking was gone and I just got The Last Word. That was by far my favorite time of destiny.
-
You must not have played vanilla.
-
Destiny has no competition
-
Bearbeitet von Lord Yoink N Bag: 10/22/2017 8:02:20 PMMaybe. But only if you are talking post April update. After they fixed infusion and high light class items and ghosts were more readily available. 3 raids a week and only one character made 320 before the update. Very frustrating to say the least.
-
Age of Triumph was better
-
Rise of Iron and then moments of triumph, as it unlocked everything at the same time, brought all weapons and armor up to max light, and there was a stupid amount of content to do daily.
-
Bearbeitet von InfernalArdere: 10/22/2017 5:00:04 PMAbsolutely not. The Taken King era left basically all previous content in the game to rot. All of our weapons and armor were not brought up to the new light levels which made them pretty much useless, Vault of Glass and Crotas End became irrelevant since that too was not updated to the new light levels. Then there was the time gated content/quests, and the ridiculous grind for the exotic swords. This was also the introduction to the infusion system which I absolutely hated and somehow made it's way into Destiny 2. Taken public events were just annoying. No more primary burns, the raid armor and weapons sucked except for the machine gun, and crucible started to get really boring from all the nerfs and new metas. Not to mention all the good perks from weapons started to slowly phase out. Field scout, hammered forge, shot package, final round...etc This was the era I started to lose interest in Destiny and only came back to it for Rise of Iron. Once I finished that I left again. Like others have mentioned, House of Wolves was the best time to be a Destiny player.

D1 vanilla when the game felt brand new. Now it feels stale and old hat. How did it come to this......
-
Man i loved taken king, i want to get last expansion, ...do u kno if d1 is still pretty active via pve
-
No. Ttk was the best DLC Best era in Destiny was in HoW. U can do EVERYTHING. N PVP was the best atm.
-
The dark below was best era
-
I fully agree! The taken king brought with it a new dynamic. There was secret weapons and missions that took everyone by surprise - and the rewards for these missions were amazing (sleeper & spindle). The story was also great in the taken king. Now we are left with a very average story, watered down exotics and none of the mystery that the first game had. I hope they pull something out their arse pretty quickly because I can see this game being completely dead within a few weeks.

I enjoyed the last quarter of the 2nd shotgun era (the return of the Matador) the most, because I got bored during an iron banner and turned to Saladdins Vigil. I only regret not using fusions in PvP at least a year earlier.
