If you want them to change then their products need to fail. You have to look at the bigger picture, if this game is successful then other companies are going to do what Destiny did. Release unfinished products that require content updates and paid DLC to complete them. If you want to stop that trend then stop buying and playing games that do that. I was excited by Anthem too. But then I realized the developer was EA. And EA is activision's evil step brother. So it will probably more sht than destiny. And also EA was able to fck up mass effect andromada. So should all might as well get a new hobby.

A single day of boycotting isn't going to "teach" Bungie anything. If you want to get their attention, you need to stick at it until they realize you're not just throwing a temper tantrum before coming back to play with the cheap toys you bought. Make the boycott a week long thing, heck, even a month. Whining on the forums or elsewhere isn't going to cut it, unless all you're asking for is a sword shader patch... The more people that leave, and the longer they stay logged out, will eventually lead to Bungie starting to take the community (a little) more seriously. But that simply isn't going to happen overnight, and I doubt even a single month would get through to them unless a truly significant majority of the community bands together and agrees not to sign in until they get their sh¡t together. And for heaven's sake, stop pre-ordering and giving them your money, even if they do make a semi decent trailer. The open beta wasn't bad per se, but considering all the excuses about why D1 wasn't better (because they were investing so much time into D2), I really was dismayed by how poorly put together the whole experience felt. This time all the excuses were "wait for the real game" which, in my opinion, sounds an awful lot like those saying "wait for the DLC, wait for D2, etc". This is D2 guys! How long do we have to keep waiting? How long until we say enough is enough? This isn't even on par with the way D1 was presented during HoW era onwards, which is when I remember hearing all about how the dev team was shifting focus towards D2 and leaving the live team to clean up their messes. How can one company divert a large portion of their resources into a sequel, and not come back with something at least as good as what they had when they began the project? I mean, now they don't even have the excuse of being held back by legacy consoles, so how can the whole storage issue be in such shambles? Did they learn nothing from what went into their previous game? Did they simply decide we were having too much fun being able to race around planets gathering planet materials, that they had to put a [i][u]TIMER[/u][/i] lock on your chests and such, simply because you were being too active? How can it be that all the things that worked, if not well, at least passibly, were not only left out from this "sequel", but we're actively shoved down a flight of stairs to go that far backwards? There have been so many different posts about what D2 is lacking, about how it could have been better. There have even been a couple (bless those souls, few and far between as they are) who have had the [i]audacity[/i] to try to suggest meaningful improvements that would better the average (and hard core) guardian's standard of living in game, and all we hear back is "we hear ya over there on Reddit, we'll drop a sticky note on somebody up higher's desk about your sweet sword shader idea, and remember kids, friendship is the real reason we charged y'all suckers $60+." Simply put, it's time for a change. I'm not blaming anybody specifically, but I believe that Bungie, as a whole, should be gathering together and thinking very hard about some ways they [b]can and should be[/b] improving this game, and finding new ways to communicate with their player base, [b][u]more frequently, as well as more meaningfully[/u][/b]. Call me what you want, but one of the reasons I love/loved Jagex as a developer, was simply because of they way they had meaningful and plentiful communication about their aims in creating the ever growing world(s) of Runescape. Every week, there was a new episode involving the face of their community management actually talking with a developer about what sort of changes players could expect in the upcoming [u]weekly[/u] update, however small it might be, as well as discussing the month's long term goal, and how that was progressing. I would happily pay a monthly subscription fee if only Bungie had that good of a community outreach (although I would hope at least part of that fee would go towards hiring more people to actually build and more aggressively maintain our worlds for Destiny, rather than this half-baked, every-six-months-gotta-obliterate-the-entire-meta style upkeep that has been going on). The only way to cause any sort of change on Bungie's part is to let them know, in no uncertain terms, that we are fed up with their current practices. That means: not buying into all the hype ahead of a release. Not pre-ordering because some streamer is willing to give a quickie in order for early access to content and exclaims how amazing it looks at a quick glance. Not sitting out for a day in protest, then coming back like a petulant kid without having actually resolved anything. Tl:dr - You protest with your wallet and your actions. Log out, stay logged out. Do not give your money to those who value your time and investment so cheaply. If you have to come post something, do so respectfully but directly, and be sure to present clearly what you want and offer steps to achieve this, or evidence/rationale. Be aware there are always going to be those who disagree with you, or simply argue for trolling's sake. You are not here to force conversion on them, but to spread your idea to like-minded people who, hopefully, if not exactly agree with everything you say, at least are willing to listen, and act in their own best interests according to the facts as they know it. [spoiler]I am not going to tell you to boycott flat out. I believe it can be a strong option, but only if enough people stand behind it and don't weaken their resolve after a mere day or two. Also, it seems to me that simply not pre-ordering, and perhaps even [b][i][u]Waiting[/u][/i][/b] a month or two might drastically decrease the amount of disappointment so many are feeling. Every* game seems new and exciting when you first start playing; that's when everything is fresh, and there is so much to do and explore. But simply buying into the hype doesn't provide hot content two weeks down the line, nor does crying about how good you had it in the past.
