I'm playing Destiny 2 on a DLS line with 4.2M download currently. I'm having absolutely no issues playing the game. I'm using a WNDR3400v2 router as well as a plain ol ZyXEL PK5001Z CentryLink DLS modem. I don't have any special software installed, I have the modem DMZd to the router so everything is forwarded, and the router doesn't even have port forwarding on (it's using UPnP). My speed is crap compared to what most people here claim they have, however, my connection is fine. So, yes, it is something on your end. It's not related to your download speed; it's not related to your upload speed. Fast internet doesn't mean good connection. It's related to either your network connection, your network hardware, or your ISP's internet connection. There is absolutely nothing Bungie can do to assist you in those areas. Bungie can only do so much to insure connections to their own servers and systems, and if your console cannot reach their systems, there's nothing Bungie can really do except reinforce their infrastructure, which will do absolutely nothing for your connection if your connection to that system is still crap. Expecting Bungie to fix your internet isn't going to end well. Yes, there have been some issues with connections because of the game's code, but as you can see, most people can connect, currently, as those issues have been resolved. By the fact that most people can connect, it shows that it's entirely hardware or setup related on the client side, not Bungie's side. If it was a direct Bungie or Destiny issue, -everyone- would be having the issue. Just because the majority of complaints in the #help forum might be about connection issues doesn't mean the majority of the playerbase is having those issues. People not having issues don't come to the #help thread just to post "Hey, my connection is great, thanks Bungie!." The only reason I'm here saying it is because I come to the forums to help people with their problems, and if I wouldn't, then you apparently wouldn't know that yes, there ARE people able to play the game JUST FINE because their connection isn't having issues.

  • My only issue is that Destiny 2 is literally the only game I have connection issues with, I like the game but every time I'm at the boss of a strike or near the end of a crucible match and get booted, it makes me want to uninstall the game.

    Yes, you aren't having an issue, so no one else can be having an issue unless it's their fault??? Your nose is a little brown still... I am having issues as well, and you know what, the ONLY THING THAT IS A PROBLEM FOR ME IS TRYING TO CONNECT TO SOCIAL SPACES IN DESTINY 2! So you are telling me, that even though EVERY SINGLE OTHER ACTION I HAVE EVEN DONE OVER THE INTERNET THAT I HAVE HAS NEVER HAD AN ISSUE, BUT THIS ONE THING, so it's my fault, right? Couldn't be the people who didn't even have enough servers to cover their launch? Edit: I even have my Xbox hardwired.

    Nope, not saying it's your fault, just that it's on your end. There's a difference. I also know you're having issues, as you've obviously said you're having issues. Getting angry at me and trying to say I said things I didn't will just make others see you as being a whining irritated person that doesn't actually want the issue fixed but instead just wants to fuss and insult others, thus leading to a less likely chance of you receiving assistance. Your game installation may be faulty, your router may have settings causing issues, your wires may be crossing on occasion for a millisecond longer than the Destiny game thinks you should be hiccuping. There's lots of issues that could be going on, but they are all on your end or your ISP. Please try to understand the difference between people blaming you and people saying it's on your end. Just because you don't like my answer doesn't mean my answer is any less correct. You seem to have great issue in accepting facts as they are. Yes, Destiny 2 has its issues, but right now, a connection issue is not one of them; it's entirely on your end somewhere.

  • No, it isn't, but sure, believe what you want. Also, no matter how indirectly it is, saying the fault is on our end is saying it is our fault. Answer me this, do you work for Bungie, are you part of the team that is dealing with Destiny 2, is what you are saying facts that you can back up with proof, or is this all just speculation and what I would have to assume is fanboying? What you have made very clear is that you refuse to accept the fact that MAYBE this might be on Bungie's end? You think maybe I am a tad irritated because this has been an issue since launch, I have reset everything on my side multiple times, deleted and reinstalled, so on and so forth. I have made a topic about this before, and received zero response? I don't even have any other issues in the game itself, and even have had better connection than my friends, staying connected when they have been kicked. There is no way you are going to convince me that this is my fault (or "on my end" if you want it put that way) unless you come to my house, find the problem yourself, and show it to me. I love this series and have played since day 1 if not the beta, that is also a part of the reason that this ticks me off, I want this game to be as near to perfect as possible, but when things like this happen, I can't really come to any other conclusion then they don't care, which I HOPE isn't true. I wasn't mad at you, I was simply using the caps as a way to get my point across, which obviously didn't happen.
