Stop blaming us

Stop blaming us for connection issues when most of the community is saying theirs error codes it's not us it's your incompetence and cheapness in not getting dedicated servers.

Stop being in denial. Destiny games use tech and cloud processing that requires premium/quality connections. Speed really doesn't matter. I run 25DL 2UL and have never had an issue that wasn't explainable on my own network. Since D2 launch I've been kicked twice... once when XBL was having issues and once when my packet loss jumped to 45% when my wife connected to the network and started downloading HD wedding videos. As for dedicated servers, it wouldn't change much. It removes basically 10% of connection points, but if you are connecting to data at a different rate than others, or are losing packets, then you will still have similar results, especially since you can't have any packet loss or response times that exceed a very shallow window. You still are required to have connection to everyone on the map to make the game work properly. That's still a lot of data connections that have to be hyper-responsive. The next game to possibly exceed connection/data requirements will be Crackdown3 , which they say needs an even better connection (quality) than D does. We'll have to see. Money-wise, you need to know what you are talking about before thinking anything would be easy to pull off. Bungie (actually Activision) pretty much charges the same per purchase as any other AAA title. However, Destiny 1 was the most expensive game to produce ever on record, and D2 is sitting about the same category - we won't know until all the games are done development and final numbers are tabulated next spring. Bungie receives their capital from the publisher (Activision) to make the game. Activision sells the game and takes in the money in hopes to make back what they spent / are spending on it. Pricing is based on every player purchasing a copy, but we all know that is not true, since about 1/3 are game sharing and basically using a game for free that they never paid for. There isn't as much cash floating around in Bungie's coffers as you think, and what they do make (plus publishers) has to help fund other projects etc. If there's no profit made then they won;t make the game any longer, so let's not try to think these companies will work for nothing. Start checking your connection. "Your Connection" is everything between you and the game service, not just in your house or your ISP.
