The problem with offering weapons as pre-order bonuses is that there is no positive thing about it. If it's too good, people will complain about pay to win. If it's bad, people will complain about how they wasted their money. Here's how I feel about this: -I assume everyone has pre-ordered D2 at this point in one way or another. So it stands to reason everyone will be getting Cold Heart (I know there are some of you out there who claim to be cancelling their pre-orders, please just stop. We all know you're doing it for attention.). -Cold Heart will become publicly available probably during the first DLC. This brings me to my main issue. What if Cold Heart is like how Ghorn was for Crota during Dark Below? We all remember that, Ghorn was your one ticket to getting into a Raid team regardless of skill. Sure, everyone will gain access to it eventually, but if it is highly useable in the Raid, then most people will be done with the Raid by then. -Bungie, if you are going to do something like this, then repeat what you did with Rise. Have a version of the gun that's publicly available, and another that's pre-order bonus. Maybe while Cold Heart is the pre-order bonus, we could also get a gun exactly like it. But with a slight difference. Maybe give us a version that shoots magma (Solar) or a stardust burst (Void). Sorry if this was long. I love ranting.
