Hey.. I agree.. Question tho.. u tried mapping sprint to paddles? I ask cuz I use a Collective Minds strike pack (attaches to new ds4, has to b corded tho thru usb, not Bluetooth) It's the way more affordable, better quality, interchangeable add on that gives u 2 paddles). Can absolutely b mapped to sprint if paddles r at all helpful for u. They r better placed than scuff also. More natural on inside where hands grip controller. I hope that can help u in meantime. My hands act up a lot, 1 worse than the other (actually 1 whole side of my upper body can get quite aggravated). I got strike pk hoping to have the most used functions more accessible but I do still have issues where I'm just too uncomfortable to play unfortunately. Strike packs r inexpensive if u do want to try 1. Amazon & gamestop sell but usually sell fast & go on back order. I do wish they'd find a way to make a 4 paddle 1 but 2 is great for now. Look them up on YouTube I'd u get a chance . Sorry I don't have a link at the moment. I wish I knew the company name that makes controllers for disabled. They were featured in game informer a good while back. Super nice ppl. I wish u the best. I understand the frustration of not being able to play when u want to due to disability or pain.
